I mean, yeah, I know, it's a generic miniatures line with everything but the kitchen sink. There's no over-arching story that puts the anime heroines in the same universe as the Space Marshal and the IMEF troopers and the German zombies and the killer clown and the greys and on and on and on. ;) But it'd be fun to see someone TRY. Maybe a Savage Worlds mini-adventure (or pick some other quasi-generic RPG system) featuring a rag-tag mix of IMEF specialists and perhaps some other random survivors of a disaster on an interplanetary passenger ship that's been boarded by some enemy (Kulathi? Bathalians? Cyber-Reavers? Or perhaps servant androids that have been hacked and turned into killing machines, as represented by the Anime Heroine models?). Now they have to reach the bridge and adjust its course so it doesn't crash into a planetary colony (with bonus points for escaping alive). Or, the various "space pulp" hero types might be characters in a retro-rockets-and-rayguns adventure, with adversaries picked from among the cheesier of Chronoscope's offerings. (Ape X would make a great master villain. But then, so would the Brain-in-a-Jar.) Or, in a post-apocalyptic world that might or might not bear resemblance to certain franchises, the PCs are a bunch of survivors thrown together by circumstance, hitting the lair of a group of cutthroat mutant raiders and scavvies in a bit to rescue some loved ones who are going to be on the cannibalistic buffet if they dally for too long. Depending upon the type of apocalyptic world, a few nasty critters (scarab swarm as roach swarm, giant scorpion, etc.) from other parts of the Reaper line might fit in as special encounters on the way. Or, some sort of time-period-not-specified secret-agent adventure with spies and villainous masterminds and assorted minions (best focused upon those from the Bones Chronoscope line, for maximum affordability -- e.g., a swarm of Ninjas or of Nine Suns Henchmen). It'd be pretty easy to do a genre-mashup, too. Secret Agents vs. Alien Invaders. IMEF troopers vs. space-borne Z-Plague outbreak. Cowboys vs. Al-- er, I mean, ROBOTS. :) It'd be nice to have a little bit of "mythos" built up around some of the models -- even if, as fairly generic models, it's totally legit if people have something very different in mind when they buy them. I'm particularly intrigued by the IMEF. If anyone managed to write up a setting that gave the Anime Heroines a sensible home and a unified theme, I'm sure it'd be entertaining to read about as well. Actually most of them seem like they would fit in The Edge (a homebrew system created by a friend of mine), a dystopian future setting loosly inspired by Aeon Flux (the animation on MTV, not the movie) and several of the more nilistic cyber punk books we read in the late 80s/early 90s. Most everything would fix except maybe the historical figs. But they could be clones or themed forces androids or something.

Somewhere on one of my hard drives I have a short story I wrote before we launched the line that was going to appear in CasketWorks explaining the story. A quick summary involves Sascha DuBois and Andre Durand, affianced, inventing a time machine, and on their first excursion, the dastardly Smedley Cloverdash stole one of the chronoscopes - the pocket watch that controls the time tunnel. From here, Sascha and Andre become separated, and must hunt down Smedley and each other throughout time, visiting the home planet of the NOVA corps, and also the old American West, a strange time where people flew and had innate "superpowers", and Victorian England. it was cut for space, and because Ed worried it might lead people into believing it was a game system, and also to be honest it wasn't the best story ever. But it was a backstory.

Emphatically No. There is no plan at this time to develop a miniatures game, RPG world, or any other system which might be classified, construed, or mistaken for a game by any executive or junior employees of Reaper Miniatures, Hobby-Q, or it's associates. it is a miniatures line which exists to serve a market that our other lines do not currently serve well, namely, the non-fantasy miniatures market. My group is playing GURPS Technomancer right now and getting a LOT of use out of the Chronoscope line. Let me see, we have a priest, a ninja, a cat burglar, a werewolf, a kitsune spellcaster, and an ex special forces thug. We have faced aliens, zombies, fishmen, evil scientists and diabolical politicians. Sorry, we didn't get a clown in there, yet. Still hoping for sci-fi space ship crew and characters. So many good games in that genre, not enough good figures.
Glitterwolf
I think I mentioned this before, but still.. A set of street decoration, for several timeperiods. So one set of modern day stuff, think a Soda machine, A thrash can, A Newspaper stand, A Fire Hydrant, A Lantern post. Maybe a set of barbed wire fencing for Western era, and a Wooden road sign with a vulture sitting on it, a broken cartwheel, a cactus. A set for medieval times, torches, a stray dog, braziers, a market stand.

redambrosia
A maid in more modest (and practical) clothing. Also a male maid. A butler, a housekeeper, and a footman. A chef or cook in one of the funny hats. Male & female. A crotchety old gardener. I'm picturing these in early/mid 20th century or late 19th century clothing.

I know there's a few of the things you mentioned, like a not-Shadow, many cowboys, a guy who would make a great Indiana jones. If you search for conversion parts there's a hat sprue and various modern and futuristic weapon sprues. There's also a number of cowboy and western style minis in the savage worlds line. Sorry, guys - I'd just skipped onto this thread after the "Bones you'd like to see" thread and had misread it as a "Chronoscope Bones..." thread - it's been so long since I've touched a metal mini at this point, I forget there's still a thriving hobby around them. Read anything in my post as a "Bones Chronoscope you'd like to see" sort of thing - those Bones Chronoscope guys are just the perfect balance of price, convenience for conversion (just short work with an Xacto knife and a drop of Krazy glue), and blank-canvas possibility for me.... And on those notes, I'd like to see just plain "more Chronoscope stuff in the Bones Kickstarters" altogether. I know it makes the Fantasy Purists cranky, but I enjoy the variety....
