So we have a Barbarian, Rogue, Sorcerer and Oracle.

Do you think we need another Martial Character with the Ranger, or should I look towards a spell caster?

Ranger fits well to me. Sorcerer and Barbarian are already a little wild, so the Ranger would be a good character to tie things together. Plus you get martial skills and a little magic.

I was thinking Tiefling Magus possibly, as a merger of spell caster and martial.

Hey Randy, can we use any of the Pathfinder Companion books?  I am thinking of the Cheliax, Empire of Devils specifically.

Yah I'll allow that one, since it's the only Cheliax sourcebook right now (till the bigger book comes out later this year)

What are we doing on hit points?

Ok do this:

MAX at first, then either roll the rest of your levels or take the average of your HD. Of course modified by you CON mod.

As far as a ranger add in. Sounds good to me, helps balance the melee part + being a bit higher gives you access to the spells. Of course this is without any archtypes.

incomplete character sheet

Basic background: Ronn, Swan's Son, is of intimidating appearance, tall and well-muscled, but quite friendly and kindhearted. He adventures for the thrill of adventure and sends a fair portion of his earnings home to his human mother, Swan, who in the recent past left their family's traditionally mixed tribe of humans and orcs for a predominantly human communal--but quite expensively so--community on the Andoran coast. He's quite the unabashed mama's boy; the quickest way to draw him into a fight is to insult his mother. Raised by a strong circle of women, he is quick to come to the defense of any woman in distress, even foolishly so. He's a bit of a romantic, though he lacks the charismatic nature to make such particularly appealing.

Magic stuff looking at:

+1 greataxe

+1 chain shirt (or full chain if feedback suggests I should give up extra movement for a couple more notches of AC?)

amulet of natural armor +1

bracers of armor +1

belt of giant strength +2 (too much?)

ring of swimming

So, I think that I've worked through all of the magical gear (except potions) at this point. Still need regular, everyday equipment, but should get to that today.

Here's what I've come up with so far. I kind of geared things around the fact that Eligos spent several years as an entertainer so several of the items seemed like they would fit that:

Ring of Chameleon Power
Ring of Jumping
Brooch of Shielding
Minor Cloak of Displacement
Eyes of the Eagle

+1 Chain Shirt
+1 Spear
