Not quite sure where to put this, but I wanna show them off, and sculpting seems most appropriate. Here's a set of Land Raider doors I've sculpted (virtually, at least) and sent to Shapeways to have 3D printed in ultra fine detail plastic.

Some day, I'll even finish painting the Land Raider itself. It's only taken me eleven years to get this far.

As they arrived:

With base coat and in place on the original model as proof of fitting:

With final paint:

Pretty cool!

Nice. This does mean, of course, that you're now obligated to finish the thing and post it so we can see it...

He's right, you know.

Just a random collection of recently painted 3D prints.  All of these are from a slightly modified Creality Ender-3

A Longship from EC3D: The Wilds of Wintertide

The Draken Airship, from Lovecraft Designs

Oh, well!  Also from Lovecraft Designs

Well I said I would try the WIP for this project so we will see how it goes...

Earlier this year I completed the print of the Beta scout created by second dynasty.  The print was pretty ambitious and wound up using over 2kg of filament

      This was the completed print

Then came a really long wait for badgers 3d leveling solution and  prime.  It worked pretty well though I think most of the work was the leveling solution rather than the prime

I decided to use the paint scheme from the starmaster from the TTA  books

So I started with a scarlet paint from badgers airbrush paint line

But it wasn't red enough so I gave it a second coat with a ghost tint 'fresh blood

And that got me where I want to be.

Once its dry i can strip off the tape hiding the white lines and see how the edges did.  I still have a dark blue line in the back so more air brushing tomorrow then I can start painting the interior...

Presenting my Beastman Champion and true child of Atmos (In my own fantasy setting I base some of my Games Workshop stuff in, Beastman are a race of former humans who were changed by worshipping an ancient, goat-headed god called Atmos. Occasionally, an actual goat-headed Beastman will be born amongst them and will be considered Atmos's offspring, they then get all the best food and stuff and grow up to be one of the leaders or shamans of the various tribes.) Who is from the Warhammer: Underworlds range by Games Workshop.

I'm super pleased with how this guy turned out, but I really need to buckle down and actually finish one of these Underworlds sets.

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.
