Production Update 4

 

BACKER REPORT

So far out of 512 backers we have received 283 orders for rewards and we are awaiting 4 survey responses. That’s over half the backer total the first week! You guys have really jumped in there and knocked it out. Of that many, 49 support tickets have been logged. I guess a 20% ratio for an all new fulfillment setup isn't bad.

 

Rather than send individual Gift Codes like we have in the past, an account has been created in the new web store for each backer and credited for the amount of the pledge. This has offered us much more control on the back end to edit orders and make updates on the fly than mailing out 500+ unique coupons. Thank you all for being patient as we have worked to clear out the bugs in this process. We don’t have a dedicated staff to handle web store issues and so must address each one ourselves on a case-by-case basis.

 

I know some of you are awaiting more pics of the new sculpts before placing your orders and those are coming. In the meantime, we have been logging all of the orders that have come through to create the purchase order for Valiant to begin production. 

Here is a section of what the spreadsheet looks like as we track which Babes have been selected by backers. Clearly some Babes are more popular than others, but it gives us an idea of how many castings to produce.

 

ORDER PROCESSING

How long is the pledge manager open? We do have a finite period that the pledge manager will be open. At this point we estimate it will at LEAST be active until January 2016. Depending on how many backer orders we receive in that time will determine if it will be extended. However, once all of the sculpts are finished and off to production, the pledge manager will be closed so that we can update the web store for regular retail sales of the items. Backer orders that are not returned by the close of the pledge manager will be delayed. We will be posting regular updates on the status of the pledge manager before it closes. 

 

Why did my store credit not include the shipping amount you collected? On the survey if you chose to receive a coupon code for your shipping - This amount will NOT be included in your store credit because you will be DEDUCTING it with the coupon at checkout. Understand that if we credit your account for your entire pledge collected AND you deduct the shipping with the coupon code and spend that on your items we will have NO MONEY to pay the carrier to ship your rewards and they will not be shipped.

 

Why didn't I get the bundle deal when selecting 8 Babes and where are my Freebies? In order to get the 8 Babes and all the offered freebies for the $50 Bomb Kit, you must select the Bomb Kit item in the web store. It is built specifically so that you can choose all of the offered Babes as your 8 selections. You will not see the freebie items like the Relics and Sidekicks listed as separate items in the cart, The only reason the Art Book is there is because the web store has to log sending you the download link email for the file. The freebie package will be "pre-packed" and added to every order for each Bomb Kit. This makes pulling the order much more streamlined. There is a picture of the things you will be receiving in the Bomb Kit selection for both the minis and the Art Book PDF. Here is a handy link to the Bomb Kit item so it is not overlooked.

 

You DO NOT have to order the Art Book PDF with your Bomb Kit -- it is already included. Understand that if you order multiple Bomb Kits you will only receive multiples of the same Art Book file. You may receive multiple link emails upon shipment, we have no way to prevent this.

Same here. Liberty Fields is one of the lowest, and she's one of my favorites. I just need to find the right shield, and I've got myself a pin-up Cap.

If you're not looking for one with the design etched on a drawing pin (available in a variety of sizes) will make a idea Cap shield (and won't be a thick as many metal or resin alternatives)

and if you do want an etched design I'd 'skin' a drawing pin with greenstuff or Milliput and press the design into it while soft.....

There was a Captain America's shield light object in one of the prize supports. It should be cheap and you don't even have to cut it off something.

Honestly, with how the HeroClix LE goes, the objects are probably way more expensive.  The first set had a badly-sculpted Cap with a glued on shield that was perfectly fine...and probably goes for $.49.

Yeah, old Clix tend to be cheap since they're completely useless for modern play.  They can be a fun source of bits sometimes, there's some decent sculpts hiding under terrible paint.

 

And the shield should be the same size for Captain Distaff.
