These are lovely. Very excited to start basing.

I remember seeing some tutorials and guides in this thread but I can't seem to find them on google or leafing through. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Or are the YouTube videos all there is so far?

I posted about it only 2 pages back.

That being said, what do you guys suggest to use with these? Green Stuff? Milliput? And with what - water? Some kind of oil? I plan to try and use mine in the next few days.

I started a Basius 2 thread a while back to discuss the pads, usage, q&a, etc.

Unfortunately no one has posted in that thread since 04 September 2015 so it did not get very far.

I don't have mine yet so I can't try anything myself.

It's still the place to do so tho. Feel free to add whatever you do with the pads to it as well. Keep it going.

I plan to do that when they get here.

That way I will have a backup if I forget what I liked best at some point.

I should have three types of Milliput (Yellow-Grey, Silver-Grey, & Superfine White), Two brands of Green Stuff (GF9 and Kneadatite in tubes), and Apoxie Sculpt to try when it gets here.

I am going to try Mixed Apoxie Sculpt and Green Stuff as well.

So far I've only tried yellow-green milliput. It looks good but it was hard to get the edges nice because the milliput tended to stick to itself or the knife rather than the base. Planning to use vaseline rather than water as a mold release agent and as a knife coating when I try tonight.

What is it arclance? Send a picture and I'll send a shot of mine to compare

Here is a image of it, it is linked to a larger version if you want to see more detail.

It is a couple of depressions on the fourth and fifth rows up from the bottom on the left side path.

I can kind of see it in the image on WargamesBakery's DeviantArt account so it looks like it is supposed to be there but it is hard to see on their image unless you are checking for it.

So I'm having trouble to get this stuff working with 25mm bases for infinity.   The problem im having is once Ive pressed the mould into the green stuff attached to the base... I always have excess around the edges and trying to trim it away puts the mould out of shape, no matter how carefully i Try to remove it.   What's the solution here wait till it sets then cut it away?
