Question for September 28th: Did you watch today's eclipse?

Didn't even know about it!

I've just googled for the time in this area...if I can stay awake then I'll watch it (1:10am) ...so I don't hold out much hope, but we'll see.

New TV shows:- Tried the new season of Dr. Who (meh), everything else I'm watching returns in October or later. Not sure about any new new TV shows, don't know what's been picked up for showing in the UK yet.

Eclipse:- I would, but I don't think it happens until way past my bed-time.

Question for September 28th: Did you watch today's eclipse?

I plan to watch it. Unless I get distracted or forget about it or (unlikely) am asleep already or just don't feel like it or it's too cold or cloudy or something. Basically I'm intensely unreliable in these matters. ::):

The weather should be fine, and I live in an area where we're getting the full effect. So it might happen.

Question for September 28th: Did you watch today's eclipse?

Yes.

Probably not. I'm dealing with some serious sleep issues ATM and staying up late is difficult and has unpleasant results in the morning.

Question for September 25th: Do you make use of the Oxford comma?

Where appropriate, yes. And since I usually only use that kind of sentence structure to make lists, I almost always use it. I never knew it had a name though.

Question for September 26th: Did you watch any of the new TV shows this week? (The new fall telly schedule1 rolled out for the CONUS2  this week.)

Yes, but, predictably, we watched the all OnDemand. We hardly ever watch anything in it's normal time slot. Let's see if I can remember them:

Heroes Reborn, Big Bang Theory,  Bastard Executioner, umm... well I know we watched other stuff, but I can't remember what

Question for September 28th: Did you watch today's eclipse?

Most likely no. I will be working, and it will probably be cloudy here. It's cloudy now

Question for September 25th: Do you make use of the Oxford comma?

Always, I even require it of my writing staff.  It never causes confusion when added, but it's omission can cause confusion and errors.  When you are dealing with products that can maim and kill, confusion is not a good thing.

You totally missed a chance to not use the comma by saying harm, maim and kill.  :D

The latest iteration of the rules follows (LAST EDIT: 1 SEPT 2020):

      1. Every day a question will be posted (but see rule 7).
1.5. Should I fail to post a question for the day a crack team of deputy & former Quisitors, will probably step in and post one (but see rule 3.5).
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer the question of the day before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted as early as 1 Minute after Midnite or as late as Noon CDT (Central Daylight Time, U.S. )
3.5 @MusicalFeline  is primary backup this month. MF, please note this is a ^ 12 hour span ^ but if I haven't managed by then jump in.
      4. Anyone is encouraged to suggest future questions. Send a PM to the current or any previous Quisitor.
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question feels like TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
      7. Weekend questions will often be formatted as  two or three day quests, or multi-part related questions, posted on Fridays or Saturdays.

      Bonus Challenge: Johnny Appleseed
September 26th is recognized as the birthday of Johnny Appleseed (aka Johnny Chapman.) While the legend is larger than life, historically he did plant apple trees and sell trees to other settlers. (as far as preliminary research goes.) While a vague theme, the challenge is "Apple" as in the fruit. If you use only apple barrel paints? That qualifies? Sculpt/paint an apple? go for it.

Yet Another Archer; A Kobold; A Tank; and some Fighter Plane Tokens

The archer is another one to go with some of the previous bowmen. I hope to get a small painted unit of them by the time this is over. He is an old GW plastic.
This guy just sorta got slopped with what ever color was left over after painting some of the other things. He was the use up the  paint miniature. I think his legs are haldardier tabard red from last month's batch of halberd guys. Boots are kobold basecoat brown.

The Kobold is a bonesium version, white plastic, 77010.
I mixed faded purple with some lighter color —fire orange maybe— to get the brown for his basecoat. It did not cover the archer's shoes very well. Later he got drowned in brown liner. The tip of his spear is the same copper that was used to damp brush highlights onto the tank.

The tank and the fighter tokens are 1:1200 scale resin models from Spartan Games.
The basecoat on the tank is kolbold basecoat brown with a lot of brown liner mixed in because it wanted to dry out too soon. Later some pure brown liner got shoved into the deep places and kinda blended in. Then bronzey highlights.

The airplane tokens are responsible for the archer's dingy blue tunic. First paint on them was Black Ink on the edges. Then they got a top coat of Sky Blue, avoiding the tops of the planes (archer got the left overs). Then the then planes got dabbed with metallic either silver or bronze. Then the edges got some silver to pick out the girder work. The final step was to wash them with Blue Liner. I was trying to get some edging and shadows under the planes. I needed to experiment on some of these. I have boat loads of these for the  game they are from.

[edits: Bold Tags; Only one L in kobold, added some paint colors, airplane token steps... ]
