Hey folks,

Time to start work on the September Minis for the RPC Challenge, and I decided to start with a Clockwork/steam powered Golem from the Duergar Cleric and Golem pack. The Female cleric and the Duergar Sergeant and Grunts (02989)  will also be done in September, I hope....

I took 2 picks of the figure before I re-primed in black, blew them up to 8 1/2 x 11", printed them out, and searched for flaws that I had missed earlier while sitting at the Pathfinder table...

It showed me a few mold lines that I had missed here and there, so I guess that experiment worked to the good. I don't think that I will print the pics I take to do this the next time, I'll just blow them up on the computer, and work from there.

So with all the new techniques I am learning and trying, I decided to add Zenithal Priming to the list.

I took pics, as normal, from straight on to the figure, and then realized that I should take them from a little bit above!

That is all for now, will likely add some more later...

The links all show up in the original post when I click edit, they are all black however, unlike the usual colored link.

I am not at the computer that has the pics in it now....

That's why. You need to be at the original PC, go to the Edit using the full editor, then click on ADD TO POST for each picture you've uploaded. It should work after you hit OK.

Hey all!

I really went to work on this guy tonight, working all 3 Scale 75 Metal 'N Alchemy sets.

His arms and legs were done with the Copper set, His torso and upper arms / shoulders with the Steel set, The Gold set was used for the edging on his shoulder pads (They look like a space marine's!) the decoration on the right pad, and the grill over where his mouth should be, as well as his proboscis. The only inks I used were a GW blue on the silver areas, and some Inktensity Black ink mixed with Black Metal for some shading.

The eyes were done with Garnet, Ruby, Tourmaline, and Citrine Alchemies. The 'hoses' under his arms are also Citrine Alchemy, and the 'connectors' for the 'hoses' on his back, as well as every rivet I saw are Peridot Alchemy.

(If he was in my 40K Iron Warriors army there would have been lots of yellow striped with black...)

With the silver areas, I tried to do a sort of 'shaded metallics' but using the different paints instead of inks. Tell me what you think!

I think he is pretty much done, except for his base....

Still need to figure out what to do for that! Suggestions? He belongs to a Female Duergar Cleric, remember....

Comments, and suggestions welcome!

I think the shoulder pads turned out nice.  I can definitly see the shading gradient in the pictures but it is well blended so I cannot detect a clean variance from one spot to the other which is hard to achieve.
