CMON - The Others 7 sins

I love the sculpts, I just wish they hadn't tacked on the 7 Deadly idea, I think "The Others" implies extra dimensional beings trying to take over this space... not personification of corruption from within.

I would have had no problem with the art, if they were naming it sloth and etc. So if they had wanted to set up the battle of good and evil between FAITH and SIN, I would have liked enemies and heroes to more embody that idea. (A vampire with FAITH? for example)

But hey, what do I know?

It's set up is spiritually close to Mike Mignola's Hellboy with the serial numbers filed off. FAITH is just the B.P.R.D. rather than anything to do with actual faith.

I am glad they had the guts to do their own thing

Not sure I'd go that far.

Me, liking the new stretch goal, though the productiion model will need some putty filling.

Now for the next Stretch Goal, we want to give the Sins players a brand new monstrosity that will haunt the Heroes player's nightmares for quite some time!

If we reach $1,310k, all backers will get the Kickstarter Exclusive figure of Nicolas, a monster in the service of Sin, and also 3 new Apocalypse cards to bring him into the game.

While not truly a member of the Hell Club, Nicolas works a lot like them. This Stretch Goal will include 3 Kickstarter Exclusive Apocalypse cards to be shuffled into your Terror, Corruption, and Redemption Apocalypse decks. When one of these cards is revealed during the game, Nicolas is summoned to haunt the FAITH heroes.

Nicolas' special ability changes depending on the story mode being played. On a Terror story, Nicolas makes some of the Heroes' allies turn on them, by making the Commissioner and Ravencorp tokens act as Abominations as long as he's alive. On a Corruption story, Heroes have to take Corruption whenever they use their City Action. On a Redemption story, Nicolas will turn the Innocents of Haven against the Heroes protecting them. As long as a hero is in possession of an Innocent token, he'll take 1 Wound at the end of each turn.

And here is Nicolas' painted miniature by Studio McVey. Please note that this is a studio painted resin figure. The plastic miniatures in the game come unpainted and pre-assembled.

Well I managed to hold out in the end (or is that "until the end"?).  Some of the monsters would make neat painting projects or unit fillers, but 1) I already have more than enough painting projects and 2) I don't really play Chaos or a similar faction that would really fit the monsters.  I doubt I would have played the game (at least not much), so it's likely for the best.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for the Horsemen once they make it to retail, though.  They look like some really awesome sculpts!

Pretty much my sentiments ad well. One of the few that I was able to pass up.

I was not able to hold out.... the demon things will make good monsters for pathfinder... Also like the apocalypse box, and might get the team box with the werewolf girl... cause werewolves are awesome, and girl werewolves are awesomer...

I could really get into an Underworld game... Vampire death dealers vs werewolves... Yeah.. That's what I want....

Looks great, but I don't like 4 Vs 1 style games too much.

Interesting, as I find them very useful.  It lets me (a veteran gamer) play against four relatively newbies or semi-gamers, and have a pretty balanced playing field.  I think that's why Descent: Journeys In The Dark has been so successful with my gaming group, as "weaker" players can rely on more experienced players to help them out.

Not that it will help them in the end... muahahaha!    /Overlord

Yes it is a bit of a dungeon master role, I actually like that! ^_^

But personally the game is not really my style. I mainly bought it for the "sins" monsters for a dungeon crawl and will sell the rest of the stuff on eBay (or other online market).

Of course I will (probably) give the game a try first ... but I already have so much other games to play that fit my favourite (fantasy) theme a lot more.

I thought about that, but I figured at least a few other people would do the same because everyone wants the monsters...

Only reason I bought it too, monsters look great, gameplay, meeeeh, it will probably never even see the table in my house tbh.
