Over the last few days I have been seeing the art, sculpts, vehicles, 3D renders, logos and background coming in. It just looks amazing.

Over the next few days we will be featuring and focusing in on Warpath – the worlds, the armies and the background. Hopefully you’ll help us breath life into this game as you have with some many other projects before.

We are taking Warpath to Kickstarter on the 21st September. First off we want to fund the rulebooks and source books – but you always seem to encourage us to go a little further than that

Best wishes, enjoy your gaming,

Ronnie

I'm really curious to see how much overlap their is between Warpath and Deadzone, both in terms of gameplay and in terms of miniatures.  I'm pretty sure Mantic has stated that the miniatures line for Deadzone was a sort of stepping stone to Warpath, so I would expect to see a lot of vehicles and larger kits to bulk out the existing races.

If anything can give Warhammer 40K a run for its money, I think Warpath stands a pretty good chance.

Any of the Deadzone stuff that got a hard plastic kit you can safely assume is a warpath squad. The existing vehicles are also likely in.

No clue what will happen with things like the rebs or the metal only units.

I just can't see them redoing anything that exists as a cheap to make mini even if it is restic

I'm not so sure of this. They did just redo stuff that was restic as plastic with the enforcers, and rat things, and redid old plastic with new for the dwarfs.

It seems like they want to get th base unit for each army in new plastic

I look at that dropship, and I see a 100 Ton Free Trader for Traveller....

For the record - Steve Jackson's GURPS Traveller still has what I consider the best advertising message for an RPG....

"Free Trader Beowulf...
Come in, Free Trader Beowulf... Can you hear me?
'Come in, Free Trader Beowulf...
...hang in there, Beowulf, help is on the way!"

The Warpath minis look like good, generic SF figures in armor. Really hoping that the Rebs get their own plastics, too.

They posted up alpha rules to give people an idea of where this thing is headed.

I'm a little sad that they only gave stats for enforcers, forge fathers, plague, and rat men. I hope it isn't a sign that they aren't going to do rebs or zzor, or any of the other wacky aliens that were in deadzone and dreadball.
