77050 Lizardman Warrior

This got painted because I hate to waste paint. So I grabbed him as waste paint receptacle. Any excess paint from other minis got put on him, and all of a sudden I'm finishing him up.

The iconic sorceress was also chosen to receive paint overflow but she's not done yet as I haven't painted enough other minis in colors that would look good on her.

Looks good, I'd suggest going with the forum mantra in regards to your highlights though. Amp them up some more.

Initially I did, but I toned them down because they just didn't look right. I will have to try and push them more on Seoni when I start to finish her.

I think most of us suffer from thinking they are too high at times, but we need to push through that block and let loose.

I don't like to waste paint either, so I have half a dozen figures on my table and anytime there's a little color left, there's a figure that can take it.

Isn't that ever the way? One minute you've got some leftover paint, the next you've produced an unexpectedly finished figure the way Froggy accidentally makes spaceships out of leftover kitchen implements.

 

It looks pretty good. Is that a blue tongue?

Now B3 is sending me 12 more, I may get a little tired of them...

It's some sort of light purple. it's a suprise sample paint I recieved some time ago (most of the ones I have are varying shades of purple) though there is some blue in it as I tried to highlight it with some blue.

These guys were always something I meant to get when I first discovered Reaper. I always liked lizardmen and this series of them were pretty cool looking, but for some reason I never bought them.

I never thought of that.

I'm a little absent-minded about my palette though. I end up rewatering my sponge and everything quite often. :)

 

I love this guy. The lizardmen are so much fun to paint.

I usually find that if my highlights look too high, I can wash them with the other color I'm using (green here) and it will tint it instead of cover it. ;)

That's pretty much what I did. My highlights were very yellow and I washed it with the blue I was using.
