Matbar
Well hmmm....somehow I managed to miss that. I may give it another try, though I'm liking the ceramic palette with the small wells quite a bit. Thanks. Once again, you are the enabler of all things hobby related.

Suggest you put the parchment paper under the sponge for a few minutes so that it doesn't curl up on you and allow it to get itself broken in. I personally use Reynolds brand parchment paper that you can get in the baking section of any store. It's cheap and one roll will last you many years.
knarthex
It happens While I am painting. .. Bugs fly INTO your palette while you are painting? Wow. knarthex, is this possibly related to the large wild wetland near your house, the one that is responsible for tiny frogs climbing your windows at night?I am sure it is. I also smoke, but not in the house, so when I go in or out, some of the bugs get in... They are attracted to the light. ..😡

In the summertime we turn out the lights in our back room early so bugs aren't as attracted when people go in or out. It helps keep the in-house bug population down. That and the spiders and house centipedes.

CashWiley
That and the spiders and house centipedes. The fiancee won't go in the basement. I'm loath to finish it until I can seal it off well enough to keep these folks out. They thrive down there, not sure why other than my house is on grade. I don't otherwise have bugs in the house *shrug*
Gadgetman!
It doesn't hurt to get a few large Citronella candles r to place near the door, either, or invest in mosquito netting 'curtains' for doors and windows. (Long strips of mesh with weights on the bottom tokeep them in place)
