Presenting the Amethyst Deceiver: with a name like than and such great colors how could I not paint it? 

also the shelf fungus on his back is Chicken-of-the-woods,  previously painted as one of his minions.

Mycoind kings tend to have the ability to spawn and heal all the other mushroom men.

Since I wasn't going for a unified species, the king is busy growing new minions on hs staff, his head and even his back. 

I have one left and I know he isn't a morel so that either leaves the mario brothers mushrooms or the glowing blue balls. 

 

Probably blue, but I'll see what inspiration google image search can provide.
