Its the First day of Autumn, and Halloween is almost upon us.

I have been very good about NOT painting another Froggy for quite some time now.

My funny bone is in need of a tickly...SO..

Here is the Frog Witch NOT to be confunsed with a sandwitch however !

I intend to have a lot of fun painting her.

I can see pink bloomers, purple socks, Brown Robes, and I'm going to just play with what

type of frog she is color wise.  The poison dart Frogs have a myriad of colors associated with them.

So we shall see where I wander.

Here is the Frog Witch Primed, and coated with brown liner.

I went banana's removing mold lines, and I know I am going to find another one somewhere.

ROFL.. You are incorrigible (However); I'm a step ahead of you on this one.

Notice that sack she is holding in the LAST Photo.. look's pretty pumpkinish to me !!

However, all bets are off once the paint hits the mini !!

Take a look at Bombina Orientalis, or Bombina Bombina.

Latin names..

These are very nice colourful toads. Should you want something different.

Looks like fun!

Hope you have a shotgun, because when a certain Head of House sees this:

"Froggie Went A Courtin'"

Frog went a-courtin' and he did ride, uh-huh
Frog went a-courtin' and he did ride, uh-huh
Frog went a-courtin' and he did ride
With a sword and a pistol by his side, uh-huh.

(Full lyrics here)

Well, even though I ran around this morning with all types of errands to do;

I got home in time for lunch and to put in some paint time.

I'm still experementing, though I think I'm going to go with a Green Frog, with orange eyes.

Worked on the skin, and put six coats of walnut brown on robes.

I don't know when I became a neatness freak, but somewhere it happened.

Here are a few photos.

I am glad that I no longer have a mommy or a daddy, since I think they would be angry with me.

I didn't do my lawn work today as planned.

I skipped it completely to play..ROFL.

Hey, I'm a grown up now, I can !!!

So I have put a rope on my desk chair to keep me from falling out of it when painting.

since I start getting really silly when I paint these frogs.

I have given the Froggy Witch Hot Pink Bloomers, and stripped peach and purple socks,

and did the leather with Cavalry browns.

Hard to get a photo of that;

but here are some photos none the less.

I'm rethinking the entire brown/black robe thing.

I may have to change my whole approach on this mini..

She is WAY TOO TAME at the moment.

Tomorrow will  tell what I decide to do...

Hold onto your hats..  :)

Started this as a PC but the game went nowhere so he sat on my desk for quite some time.  finally got around to finishing him and thought i would share.  He's quite well detailed and has a lot of character I might get another one to try in a different color but that will be another day.  Hope you enjoy him

This is another bogle for Monster Blood Tattoo though it happens to look a lot like an especially large werewolf.

First the sculpt:  Although fur is often difficult to clean the parting line on this one was largely invisible to begin with.

Second the paint:  It lent itself to a simple drybrush, but I've gone for such dark colors it doesn't show up in the photo.

Third the question:  I just glued it to a round base today and can't decide how I should finish the base.  It's going to be used in tabletop skirmish games so it doesn't need anything fancy.  I just can't decide between gluing on sand and little rocks, applying resin sand gel, or using Apoxie Sculpt to build up the circular base to the level of the stock base.  Opinions?  Pros & cons?

Ladless and Gentlemints, I've been kicking this idea around for a while now. And with the current isolation I think it's a great time. I propose a craft paint challenge. I have tons of great miniature paints from various brands, but for the sake of fun lets see what we can do with craft paints. This is my proposal. Grab a random miniature, Bones or otherwise, and ideally whatever craft  paints you have on hand (no going to the store for craft paints, this is to promote social distancing) and see what you can do. This will serve two purposes. It will be a fun way to throw some paint on a miniature, and hopefully we can also show a lot of people that while specialized paints are amazing, you can also get decent results on a budget. If you aren't into miniature painting, and still want to throw some craft paints on canvas or paper or whatever then that would be great as well.

I encourage everyone who feels it to jump in on this. Also what do you think about #craftpaintchallenge for tagging. Please post results on here and other social media. Lets see how much love we can get, and how far this will go.

Official/unofficial start date of 4/11. And lets go. Cheers.
