I took one look at the Watcher and said uhhhhh.  However 21 pieces aside, once you break them up it's not horrible to figure out where they belong.  The real issue is that he's so fragile.  I was quite detailed on this one so someone following along could easily see where everything was supposed to go, and then proceeded to drop him as I was gluing the two main halves together.  The hanging lanterns snapped off and had to be re-glued along their cords.  sigh.

So here's my guide.  It's my assigned part number followed by which piece it is glued too.  I've tried to identify the holes for you.  Left and right are as you view the image rather than the figure's right or left.

1 to 11, left fork of chain

2 to 11, backside

3 to 11, backside

4 to 11, right fork of chain

5 to 11, bottom left below chain, should almost sit on base

6 to 21, top

7 to 11, backside

8 to 11, backside very bottom

9 to 11, left-center pair, lower one

10 to 11, backside very top

11 to 21

12 to 11, upper row center

13 to 11, upper row, right

14 to 11 & 21, upper row, left partial

15 to 11, upper row, left

16 to 11, backside (not pictured)

17 to 11, left center pair, upper one

18 to 21, upper right side

19 to 21, left side

20 to 21, left of head

21 to 11

Lanterns (1-5)

I would attach 1-4 to start, but leave 5 off until near the end

1 & 3 appear to be visually identical, but fit slightly better for me as listed

Head (6)

The head is out of the way so you should be able to affix it whenever, but my preference is to attach it last.

Cloth 7-10

Since they stick out I would wait to attach these until the main pieces are glued together. They do have a larger attachment point than the electric arcs so I chose to take care of 7-10 prior to those.

Body (11, 21)

Given ease of access, I strongly suggest attaching the hanging lanterns to 11 prior to gluing the two main pieces together. Now for a bit of bad news. Pretty much every slot you can see for part 11 is slightly too narrow. I had to shave a bit off pretty much everything that attached to it.

Hanging Lanterns (12-15)

Aside from the aforementioned trimming they explode when dropped. ::(:  Because of that, don't use the orientation pictured below as a guide to how they should appear.

Electric Arcs (16-20)

These are so thin that they are actually a bit fragile. Because of that I recommend attaching all but 17 at the end. No grabbing them to move the mini or tipping it over after a battle.

So there you have it, one watcher down one more to go.  I believe I'll use a paperclip to pin this guy to his base.

Well in celebration of a more successful second full hunt and showdown and the ability to build a complete armor set now, I have delved into the armor kit sprues to make a survivor in rawhide:

Given that this is Kingdom death, she will inevitably be the next one killed horribly. No big issues assembling the armor set bits - looks like some options and you could easily cut apart the plastic limbs to repose - probably will have some fun with these....

Screaming Antelope built tonight - probably will be the next hunt after one more lion. Pretty easy build, this one - no issues to speak of other than cleaning up minor mould lines on each part, the right ear needed a bit of reduction of the tab to fit it to the head but thats about it. I did put a good sized brass wire pin in its hoof to mount it to the base - seems pretty solid though minimal contact area to the base....

Wow, very nice! I'm afraid of the resin version!

Snap, crackle, pop... explosion!  On a bit more serious note, I'm all for artists attempting to push what they can do with their medium.  However, part of the job of someone in Poots position is to recognize the difference between something that is fine as a collectors item on a shelf and something that is too fragile for a game line he is developing.  In my opinion, the Watcher is something that should have been redesigned for tabletop play.  Those mm thick pieces sticking off of him are going to break.  For something that's going to get picked up and moved around they should have been changed into a detail sculpted onto the surface of its cloak.  It would still mostly retain the look once painted and there would be no issue with breakage.

Anyway, onto tonight's project. The butcher has a number of itty bitty pieces to attach, though none are particularly difficult.  The only area that needed much attention with the hobby knife was his shoulder pad.  There was not enough of an opening for the lower jaw that needed to be glued on, which forced it to stick out at too high of an angle.  Overall the order of assembly is pretty straightforward, just leave the cloak off until the end.  In fact he can actually stand on the table without his cloak, but once its in place he just tips over backwards.

ugh.  whatever you do, don't drop these.  I decided to practice a prologue, and after I finished (yay dead lion!) I dropped the lion on the way back to the painting room.  Broke 2 feet off.  now I have to fix the cracks in the paint job.  these are not friendly for routine gaming...

Sigh.  And It was a jaw wound that did the beast in.  Never even cut his paws off, the fiend.

The lion is built like a tank compared to the watcher, A TANK!  BTW, did the feet break off where you had glued them or somewhere else?
