I wear thin disposable nitrile exam gloves whenever I use any kind of glue.

I'd also like to reiterate, you should have very good ventilation and a good quality respirator with an organic solvents filter whenever using plastic glue.

A question.

I am assembling the "Beyond the Wall" plastic figure.

There is one piece I am not sure where it goes.

It looks like it might partially cover the figure's breasts. It is vaguely breast-shaped with something like a rectangle of fabric at the front, crumpled either at the top or the bottom (depending on which way is up).

If it does cover the breasts I will need to glue it down before I can assemble the figure's left arm and lantern.

Has anyone else assembled this model? How did you deal with that piece?

I've got it on the bench (...somewhere) as part of a piece I want to build, I'll take a look.

Off the top of my head, I'd say yes it's a modesty panel that needs to be installed before the rest (he's done similar for sculpts like the Scribe with a naked ding dong). So it's also optional, I was going to leave it off.

... Somewhere ...

... Somewhere are the Butcher's assembled legs, which I put somewhere for safekeeping.

... Sighhhh ...

My hard plastic version is still in the mail, but I'll take a look at it once it arrives.  The resin version came with two different torsos, one armored and one without.

I was confused because the pictures I could find of her seem to have a piece of armor in front, just above her waist and tucked between the lantern and her breasts, it looks like. That might be what this is.

The plastic model is not, I suspect, divided up in the same way as the resin. It has (off the top of my head, not near the studio to double check): an armless, legless, headless, breastless torso; two legs; breasts; a right arm holding a dagger; a left arm, no hand; a left hand holding a lantern; two pieces of shoulder armor; one gorget; a face and neck; a head of hair; a base; a wall piece; and the mystery piece.

At the moment I've attached her right arm, the right shoulder armor, the breasts and the two parts of her head to the torso. The breasts are detailed enough that she could be left like this, maybe (I haven't checked the fit of her left arm and lantern), but it wouldn't match the artwork.

From what I remember of assembling mine, Cash is right, it is a modesty panel that goes over her torso if you don't want her so exposed (I left it off).

While people are asking questions, has anyone assembled any Lion Armour minis yet? I've been trying to get mine together, and none of the 6 female legs seem to fit into the female waist and I don't know where I've gone wrong.

It took me awhile on the legs, but I eventually fiddled until I found them all a very tight fit.  I know when I glued the torso together on one, I left it a little looser to fit the legs.  I'll try to get a photo up this weekend.  It helped me to look at the underside of the torso and see the shape of the leg spots to better choose.

Thanks, but I had another play with them this afternoon and managed to cobble together two pairs of legs (the third set got thrown out in a fit of frustration).

My hard plastic practice BtW arrived today so I pulled my resin one out of the box and compared them side by side.  Once the breasts are glued onto the torso it is basically identical to the unarmored resin piece.  The armor is a separate bit that can then be attached to her breasts.  On the resin version, the armor has been torn off far enough that it doesn't really qualify as a modesty part.  The hard plastic version's armor appears to be shaped a little differently, so it may act as such.  I guess we'll know once Pingo puts it together!

A quick correction. I don't have the head on "Beyond the Wall" yet. It looks like it will work better to put the head on after the left shoulder armor, which has to be put on after the left arm and lantern, which have to be put on after I decide how this armor piece is supposed to attach. Sigh.

Most of the figure parts so far have had really obvious attachment places and snug fits for where pieces go. This armor piece is not so clearcut.
