Chris Palmer
I've posted some more BARRAGE photos up on my blog. Friday Saturday Just wanted to highlight this great Bridge of Khazad Dum game that featured beautiful minis, as well as terrain, all made from wooden craft bits... Jasper_the_2nd
Those are some awesome looking boards! The Battle of Hoth one though, that makes little kid me so want to be there...... 1
malefactus
I have been enjoying the battle report photos for the last week or two. I LOVE the 18th Century historical pics. They bring back memories of my misspent youth when I did Lace Wars in 54 mm & then Napoleonic Wars in 30s. Those were The Days my friends...GREAT STUFF! 4
Rob Dean
The GM behind the wooden figures is Matt Kirkhart, and his presentations are more amazing each year. Last year he did a dungeon crawl featuring the idol from the AD&D Player’s Handbook: Edited September 30, 2019 by Rob Dean

Werkrobotwerk
Played some freeblades last night. The mission was a beast hunt. Two big monsters were hiding in a ruined town. There were 4 player factions hunting them. game ends at the end of the turn when the last beast dies. Any factions that are not in retreat or eliminated split the bounty on the monsters at the end. There was a dwarf player, a trazerite player, and a black thorn player, I was playing eclipse sisters. One of my minis was hidden in a bar at the start of the game. So naturally there was a monster dog hiding right next to her. She got knocked out immediately, though she survived the mission. The other monster turned up between my non hidden minis, and the black thorn player. It took forever to bring down the monsters, because all of us brought the wrong minis for the mission. The final blow was struck by my cheapest figure, and angry woman with two knives. We needed more magic and more high damage. At the end, myself, the black thorn, and trazerite forces split the cash. In the post game, the only fatality was one of my archers. One of my assassins also took a leg injury. no one on my side did enough damage to level up, though we got 150 gold to buy some new fighters. I need a caster, and more two knife women.
Zink
We've had a Full Thrust game set up on the table for a couple months. Summer meant no time and energy to play and the last week I felt to sick to bother. Today we finally got around to playing. Each fleet was a dreadnought, battleship, 3 cruisers and 3 destroyers. #2 son was playing Swabian League which is slow, heavy and heavily armed. I was NAC which is lighter and faster with more long range torpedoes. Because we haven't played much I screwed up royally tactically. The kid got lucky with initiative rolls and had pretty decent rolls all along but the #1 thing was I got too close to him. If we keep using these stats I need to figure out how to keep my distance and pick away at him. The battle consisted of about 5 turns with one close range pass. I took out 3 destroyers and a cruiser, almost crippled 2 more cruisers and did a bit of damage to the big girls. He destroyed my entire fleet except 1 cruiser which almost got out of range with no damage. Then on the last turn it lost half it's hull points to very long range shots from the DN and BB. Need to figure out how to do hit and run tactics. Wanting to switch back to Rangers of Shadowdeep for a bit. #2 son was designing a mission with 3 battles back in the spring. He had the last battle almost planned out when we pause for summer. Need to poke him into finishing it and then play the latest book's mission.
Rob Dean
One of the other club members has been running a monthly Saga session at one of the FLGSs, and I finally made it out to one today. We had three players altogether, so we did two sessions of a scenario involving a falling-out among three bands of raiders over the division of loot. I'd have to check my log, but my Dark Ages (Saxon/Viking/Norman) figures haven't been on the table in a couple of years, so I was glad to have them out.
Corsair
Well, we are getting Battletech going at my LGS again! Good game tonight and a couple of more folks showing interest.
Rob Dean
It was a nice quiet day today, and starting to feel autumnal. I decided that my main project for the day was going to be to bake some bread, but I also got a solo Dragon Rampant game in, part of my slowly progressing solo campaign.

Corsair
A really nice set up! We had a good night with Heroclix tonight. Had a new player who had a great time and said he will be joining us, so a nice end to the evening.
