Help, anyone know what the Crusader robot from Ghost studios is?

Hello, 

 

I bought some miniatures off e-bay. The Crusader robot from ghost studios. Each Sprue is one robot, and has like 20+ pieces. I cant find any info on Ghost studios or what game this is from. There are a lot of small pieces and I am hoping someone knows what these are and can point me to a build guide or some info on how to make them. I constructed one... Incorrectly... Left leg looks backwards, I think i reversed the arms... etc... 

 

Even wrong it still looks pretty good... especially at $1 each... So, if anyone knows what these are, please help.

Many of us consider Facebook to be icky.  You'll get a better response posting the image here.  Ghost Studio did some work for Defiance Games, an apparently deservedly defunct company.  They did some MaK-like suits and a sort of walking gunship.  Is this even close?

Man I wanted those sooooo bad.  Something felt off about the kickstarter so I didn't back it.  Talk about dodging a train wreck.

Doing a reverse image search on the box art. Say it's from a CthulhuTech spin off mini game that was started then "vaporwared."

Thanks for the responses. It's a shame they were not produced then as the are nice. The arms and legs are articulated to allow you to rotate the arms or bend the joints. So no build instructions. Fuss I will have to trial and error them. I ended up with 40 so I have so room to play around.

This kickstarter was total kryptonite for me - those suits were literally perfect designs. But between being a little hard-pressed financially, and, yeah, something feeling a little off, I ended up figuring I would pick some up at retail. 

 

Thank goodness for making my willpower check. Wotta flipping disaster that turned out to be.

The whole Defiance debacle is a real shame. The funniest part, though, are all the people who claim in hindsight that they used their "Spider-Sense" to magically detect that "something was wrong the whole time," , but that's not copacetic with reality.

 

IN REALITY, many people joined the Kickstarter with eyes wide open, and Defiance actually had real, viable product on the market at one time. I know, because I still have a whole box of their awesome Marines that I bought from my wholesaler, with the Defiance Games logo stamped right on the bottoms of the bases. You could see things going downhill over time. But some people like to act like they "knew it all along."

 

I'm glad I didn't get involved in the Kickstarter. But it wasn't because I used my potent psychic powers to avoid it.

I did get burned by that.

 

Fortunately only for a small amount. But that's a small handful of Reaper minis I could have gotten instead, or a KD figure I kind of want but can't justify down the drain.

I mean, you didn't need Kewl Psychic Pwerz to get the impression that something was off with that Kickstarter - just a little bit of caution and willingness to do some research before dropping hard-earned dolla bills on it. Tony Reidy was (ostensibly not, but who knows? maybe sorta) involved in the KS, and Defiance already had a reputation for being somewhat... tardy... in getting products into people's hands. And it's not like it was terribly hard to find information on how this might go pear-shaped - the very announcement thread on these forums was quickly filled with "I ain't doin this one" and 'go in with eyes open' warnings, from very early on.
