Something specific for Legends would be nice. Tiles or something. This KS is a great value, sad to have to wait a year though.

I'll be honest, I'm a little surprised it's going to take a year to get Legends out.

 

NAS has at least as many figures and should be here soon - 8 months after the Kickstarter ended.

 

The only reason I can think of, is that they have to playtest the Legends rules before they box it up and ship it out.

 

My interest was piqued in the campaign when Deke said that they would have about six releases between now and the kickstarter fulfillment.

And they have the Forgotten King, which is the second edition "beta" and the new cards will follow that format (I don't have any SDE, this KS is my entry into their world).  I'm looking forward to seeing what they release based on that.

So I just talked myself into backing and I have a question.  From what I understand there were exclusive figures from the previous kickstarters and I was wondering if there was a way to get the cards for them or the stats so they could be played with out the exclusive figures.

Sodapop sells an "upgrade deck", to bring the older models into the current version.  That should include the old exclusives as well.

I was wondering about that earlier today.  The last unlock in the SDE: Forgotten King campaign was the Princess Coin, so maybe they'll do something similar?

 

*clears throat and straightens tie*

As far as the expected fulfillment timeframe, I think they did mention that the Legends rules were still a work-in-progress, so I'm sure they want to allow sufficient time for that.  Fortunately, that should be able to happen concurrently with getting the figures sculpted and produced.

Soda Pop don't actually do true exclusives (well since the split from CMON anyway)

 

Everything  from Forgotten King (except the Princess coin) is, or will be, available from their web store (sorry I can't give a link but a search for Soda Pop Store should find it)

They do not do exclusives. Each item can be purchased at retail or on their website when released.

Apparently a game called "Rail Raiders" will be coming to Kickstarter later this year, per this article.

 

Oddly, the article is from back in August, but it was just linked on the Soda Pop Facebook page.  I would hazard a guess that the KS may be coming fairly soon, then...

Reading the rulebook, I noticed that the older version had treasure chests with teeth ("boo-booty").

 

 

Now I'm sure I have seen these biting treasure chests before, probably made by another manufacturer and another name.

 

Can anyone remember which one?
