Welcome to Rippers, a roleplaying game of gothic supernatural horror, where Victorian era monster hunters—the Rippers—fight the fearsome creatures of the night.

Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

--Friedrich Nietzsche

Rippers fight the terrors of the night: werewolves, vampires, and other horrors that stalk the earth preying on humanity. These foul monsters boast superhuman strength and supernatural powers. The Rippers must use everything at their disposal to resist them.

Some invest in the latest technology—incredible devices of iron and steel powered either by steam or, more recently, by electricity. Others practice ancient magic or perform holy miracles. A rare few bravely (or foolishly) wield arcane biotechnology “ripped” from the very creatures they hunt.

Whatever the methods, all are united in their dedication to protect mankind from the monsters that stalk the night. The Rippers’ struggle against evil rages on largely unknown to the wider world. Rippers Then and Now

Pinnacle Entertainment Group first released Rippers in 2005, a setting book for the relatively new Savage Worlds game system.

The first Plot Point Campaign saw the Rippers take on their archnemesis of old, Jack the Ripper, along with his Cabal cohorts, Dracula, Frankenstein, Prometheus, and more. At the end of that campaign, the Cabal was crushed, its leaders dead, and the Rippers triumphant. It is not necessary for your players to have completed that campaign (though if they have, great!).

When the Rippers start their adventures in Rippers Resurrected, the Cabal will be the huntedand chased; hounded and hiding in the dark places of the world. The Return of Evil Plot Point Campaign also sets the Rippers against a new enemy: a small cult bent on restoring to power an ancient evil.

I was a big fan of the Rippers Plot Point Campaign Setting, and am very excited to see it return! Edited by Darsc Zacal
