MissMelons
I seem to have lost a package somehow... Given, it could be douchbaggery neighbors but they weren't home during delivery. I was though. @_@ UPS says my local USPS delivered my package at 2:15pm. I checked at 2:30, 4:00 and again at 5:00 when I had to leave for work. It isn't in the mailbox, under the porch or in the bushes. I'm putting this in USPS' end to complain to really. @_@ The package spent four days in my state before UPS handed it over to USPS to deliver. That's fine, I figured that was Valentines day back up. As long as tracking is accurate, I'm fine. O_O but tracking says its here but it isn't....
Kheprera
Yeah, if you know where it's from you can put in an online complaint. I did once for a Reaper package and had it in my hands the next day. They followed up with a phone call to make sure all was hunky dory.
LittleBluberry
So I stopped by my FLGS today, and asked if they planned to carry the new Bones line of paint. I asked partly because while they do carry two lines of paint (Citadel and P3) they don't carry any dropper bottle style paints. The owner said that it was going to depend on availability, because it looks bad to have a half empty paint rack. (Which is fair, and apparently he frequently sells out of Secret Weapon washes so he does get good turnover.) Sometimes he has issues getting Reaper paint reliably from his distributor, and he said that ordering direct from Reaper was a hassle because there was a 1-2 week delay before he could get stock from them. No one else in the area sells Reaper paint either. Thought I'd throw the info out there, because it would be really nice if a retailer here actually got these paints. :(
ladystorm
he said that ordering direct from Reaper was a hassle because there was a 1-2 week delay before he could get stock from them.Interesting. We fill every order within 2 business days. Even retail orders.
LittleBluberry
Well could there be a shipping delay? If he's just mis-informed I'd like to correctly inform him. He's a decent guy, but it's not exactly on my way to pass buy his store on a regular basis, so I buy a lot direct from Reaper. (And I frequently get delivery in much less than a week.) I dunno, it seems like everyone here is a P3 fan, but I hate pots with a passion.
Guildenstern
I doubt he is correct, I mean just from personal experience, I always get my reaper stuff extremely quickly which is why I prefer to buy direct
ladystorm
Shipping delay? You mean like we fill the order and not send it? No. Every order is filled and leaving our hands within 2 business days. Doesn't matter if it is you, the general customer, or a retail store. Every order leaves within 2 business days. Many, even most are out within 24 hours (weekends skew that). If the order is placed through our website, it is all processed the same.Time is transit will vary based on shipper chosen at checkout and location of final destination and neither of those are in our control. If that is his hang up, blaming us for those is just an excuse. Now if he is trying to place the order by mail, it would take longer to get placed or if he insisted on phoning it in because we don't spend our days sitting waiting for a phone to ring. However, once placed 2 business days.
vutpakdi
Could be that he doesn't want to tell you that he doesn't want to carry a third paint line due to the space requirements and the risk of having a product of unknown sales appeal occupying space that could be taken by a product of known appeal. Could also be that he likes to bunch up orders so to minimize shipping and billing hassles, so he waits 1-2 weeks before putting in orders to see if any others come in. Finally, could also be that the receiving staff at the local UPS/USPS distribution facility have a habit of opening up the Reaper packages to play with the minis and paints for a week before sending them on to the store. I've heard that happens sometimes. Ron
Cranky Dog
Not unexpected, but not good news. Bones 3 is gonna hurt. Edited February 27, 2016 by Cranky Dog
Harrek
I think the later Ron! I have to admit that I was puzzled when I heard that it took that long for an order to arrive. I know Reaper very much has spoken that supporting the FLGS is important.
Kheprera
If need be, I'm willing to pay shipping on my Bones 3
Extrabio47
I've always received excellent customer service from Reaper. I order paints on Friday and receive them the following Tuesday. Just FYI, I'm in Kentucky.

Quite frankly there are plenty of stores that will blame their poor ordering on everybody but themselves.
Members SamuraiJack
My FLGS is simply out of space to carry more paints.. but they carry darn near everything from everybody so that makes sense.. FLGS #2 & 3 are mostly board games and CCG and FLGS #4 is OOP stuff, Board games, RPGS and CCG.. all the ones that carry minis seem to all carry GW paint though.. sigh
Mad Jack
General question: I ordered some stuff getting shipped from Spain... Email says it shipped out on the 3rd. What's the general travel time for something going from Spain to east coast US, assuming the customs monkeys don't decide to use it to build a nest or something?
