With my old combined Reaper WIP thread rendered useless by Imageshacks ineptitude, I've decided to resurrect it as a series (hopefully!) of single WIPs.

Starting with the Diabolist:-

I've done the skin:-

Based with my new Vallejo Elf Flesh, Flesh Shade Wash and highlights of Elf Flesh and 1:1 Elf Flesh/Off-White.

I also mixed a drop of Vallejo Hexed Lichen into the final highlight mix for a touch of lipstick and eye-shadow (she also has teeny tiny Vallejo Wolf Grey eyes).

Also did her hair:-

Based with LED Blue and then washed with GW Gulliman Blue Glaze.

I tried putting some white highlights on it, but it kept leaking into the grooves, so I gave up.

A couple of satifying quick paints for the table. 2 more dreadwolves for my pack and a wizkid imp with way more mould lines than I wanted to remove. They went quickly (less than an hour) and look good on the table - a refreshing bang for the buck for once. Are the masterpieces, Noooo... Are they better than white unpainted minis, Yes!

Finished my first mini this year, and oddly enough it was a speedpaint, taking just over an hour...

On the flipside, some of those colours work together really, REALLY well, like Sunrise Orange and Heart Throb Paint.

This is a Patrick Keith sculpt  from the Warlord range and I have loved it since it came out years ago.  She would be a really cool player character, I don't know why we don't see her more often.  Great dynamic movement with this one.  Anyway, I threw some color on her, so maybe she'll end up on the table one day.

I painted her up as a fun project. Let me know what you think.

I am trying to improve my painting abilities.

The purple marking on her thigh was supposed to be a skull tattoo, it didn't really work as well as I had hoped.

Her face is way lighter in real life. In the pics she looks like she's got stubble...
