After taking a class with Banshee, I decided to finally tackle my Mount Everest of busts.  I swore after working on the Grudge, I was going to paint something that wasn't a bust next, but alas I have fallen back.  I am very happy with the face, and the hair, like the Grudge, I am struggling with right now.  It has a long way to go, so I just need to chill a bit.  Nothing about the hair is even close to being done.  I expect to make good progress this Saturday at paint group, or at least get a feel of where I want to go with it.

Love this bust, he's on my wish-list as he's one of the most amazing I've seen. Looking forward to seeing what you do with him!

What a gorgeous model! So far he's looking really great.

I think all of us get a bit in our own heads about painting certain models - that's one of the things that makes this forum so great. You can find inspiration, encouragement, advice, etc. here at any time. So as you struggle, post more pics here in your WIP so we can all continue supporting you through it! Plus, trust me, with what you've already accomplished on this, we're going to want to see lots and lots of pics!

Here is some more work I did on his beard this weekend at CMPA's monthly meetup.  Still a lot of work to do on his beard, but I made good progress with some tips/ideas from Heisler.  I still have some highlights sketched in that need to be toned/blended in, and frankly, a lot more contrast to work in, but the beard is coming to fruition.

Looking awesome! I had a peek at your blog and saw your colour scheme sketches for this guy and am excited to see which armor colour combo you go with!

Vancouver Miniature Painters picked this for the first paint club item. It is Queen by Life Miniatures. I wanted to do more with it, and ended up doing the face and skin early.... then rushing the rest. All things considered, she turned out darn nice! Painted with a mix of Reaper, Vallejo, and Kimera. Reaper and Vallejo more on the skin and metal, Kimera more on the cloth. Many thanks to the paint club leader for good photos!

This is a Dwarf Lord Ragmir by Scibor monstrous miniatures, I got this for my nephew awhile back and just finished it. This thing had a lot of good details, and a cool base even if it was a little small, which is no longer an issue since I just mounted him on his stock base and then a metal knockout from an electrical box.

      Thanks for looking!

This lil guy had been sitting on my shelf for a while. Decided to tint some metallic w blue paint for his armor. Pretty happy how it turned out. As always, feedback is welcome

So, I just had to show off this pic.  I'm playing in a 5e Rappan Athuk campaign, and needed to make 3 characters.  I chose to model mine after the characters from the old Lost Vikings video game.

In order from left to right:
Olaf the Stout, Life Domain Cleric.
Baelog the Fierce, Totem Warrior Barbarian.
Erik the Swift, Battlenaster Fighter (my main).

Sorry, I just really loved this picture.

I liked painting the dark skin of this one, as opposed to the lighter skinned dwarves I've been doing.  I enjoyed this one a lot!  It'll finish out my trio of dwarves for the current campaign I'm in.
