Phenomenal!  His cloak is a work of art in itself--not just the nebula, but the trim and shading too.  The rest of him looks great too.

Really Nice! Well done!

Don't know how you take your pictures, but I lower the tripod and shoot 'up' when trying to shoot faces on minis with big hats or deep hoods. Just make sure that you have light shining up from below as well.

I take them outside to my patio to get the natural light. I need to make a light box but we live in a small place without much room for storage. All of my painting stuff is on my dining room table atm. I have a hutch to stuff everything in when I am not painting but a lightbox wouldn't fit in there. I'll eventually make one and find some place to put it. I feel as my painting is slowly improving, I want to take better photos to show off the things I am doing right! Haha!

He turned out great !!!

The cloack is amazing and I think the appearing runes work very well.

Nice base too.

I say, put him up in the inspiration gallery.

The dire crocodile, dire boar, and dire crab were one of the Bones 4 addons, and it doesn't look like they've hit retail just yet. Which is a shame, because we need more giant crabs.

The mud on the dire crocodile's base is just some water effect goo dribbled on that half of the base. The barnacles attached to the rocks on the dire crab's base were sculpted with green stuff. The rocks... those are just rocks.

I'm looking for something to stick Bones, specifically Ma'al Drakar's terrain, to a wooden base. It's not thick enough, at the area I want to place it, to pin effectively.

What kind of adhesives would work? I'm thinking epoxy, maybe? I just /really/ don't want to melt it accidentally and have to buy a new one.

I just like the way the blue/black wings look.  - I did the same with the Librarian Sophie. (last month)
I really need to paint up one of the metal versions for contrast.
I'm not sure what she is serving - Meat, bread and salad is the way I painted it, but that could be cake instead.

Been wanting to paint this one for awhile. Love the dynamic pose! Really happy with this one.

This finally gave me something to use my larger Games Workshop skulls on. I may try to give his hair another highlight of something brighter, as it looks pretty dull at the moment. A fun evil mage that I hope to use as a boss battle one day.
