Sascha Dubois, Chronomancer's Apprentice Conversion (80004)

Recommended Posts

This past weekend, I completed the Sascha Dubois figure that I have been posting about in the Work in Progress forum:
http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/65049-sascha-dubois-chronomancers-apprentice-conversion/

For those who haven't read that thread, my goal was to convert this futurisitc Science Fiction figure into a fantasy magic-user type to serve as my Chronomancer's Apprentice for my Frostgrave games.

While not the greatest paint job, it is one of the best I've done for a figure destined to be a game piece, and not one for display.

I even attempted to paint the hands on her magic  pocket watch.

Thanks for the comments!

She looks cool, though her sword is a bit large. :)

The sword is from the Bones "Mi-Sher" figure. So shouldn't be too out of scale. I figure it's size is because it's an old cavalry saber blade she obtained, probably from the same place she got the coat. :-)

This turned out very nicely; great job! I love the coat.

Nicely done! Love seeing a good conversion or modification to figures.

So do I.

Here is the outcome of the 2hr speedpaint class - other than fixing her base and about 15 mins of touchup I did not do more - so many others got a better end product, but she'll do for my tabletop and wow was that fast for me! And value per minutes was certainty higher! The gems are because I messed up the base and did not have time to fix before class.

Presenting Tzandi, a member of Monkey's Troupe from the game Twisted by Demented Games.

Been painting this one on and off for a while, as I could only work on her teeny tiny details in small bursts (She essentially feels like a much larger scale mini that's been shrunk down). I think taking my time paid off as I'm pretty pleased with the results.
This also means I've actually finished a set of something for a change (At least until Long Ma the dragon comes out):-

      The full Monkey's Troupe.

Presenting The Bride of Nurgle, the leader of the Nurgle warband in the game Warhammer:- Underworlds by Games Workshop.

I don't usually post my Underworlds stuff here, but I felt this one deserved it.
Annoyingly, I did a really good job painting her face but you can't see most of it once her fringe is attached.

Printed this out a while ago and made a base for her with the Greenstuffworld Cobblestone Roller and a twig.
The primer came out a bit chalky will try to remedy that. But for now I've basecoated her boots.
Leather can be a bit rough so it's alright.
