Halloween Pumpkin House and Witches Project by Glitterwolf

Looking great so far!  I'm definitely going to follow your thread as I have a love for jack o'lanterns and pumpkins.  What company makes the resin ones you have in your picture?

Ristuls Market. Many nice resin basing and accessories.

A little progress, everything primed, and a first layer of Reaper Stone Shadow and Scale 75 Inktense Wood.

It looks pretty cool so far. I assume that's not a real pumpkin.

No it's a small ceramic one I picked up in a Garden Centre.

( I also got a very big one, later, maybe next year, it will become the Halloween base for Kaladrax.)

I added a greenstuff window and a stove pipe.

Pressed a Bones Crate into the window to get the wooden shutter look.

Thinking about painting the stove pipe like a mushroom.

Added some Scale 75 Inktense Yellow, painted the Halloween Tree with a mix of Scale 75 Inktense Wood and Scale 75 Brown Gray.

Some Reaper Lhinen White for the Owl.

Also some Reaper Stone Grey for the stonework.

Applied first coat of Reaper Pumpkin Orange, I left some of the pumpkins primed, since those will become green ( gourds).

The Pumpkin House is almost done. A few little things to go.

Reaper Polished Bone for the stem.

That's it for today.

Hope you guys like it.

Further efforts to produce a dozen dragons this year brought me out to the desert sands where even dragons new to worry about being spotted if they want a decent meal.  To this end desert dragons are campflaged to look like the ground from above and the sky from below.

      Hope you enjoy him

Here is my take on the Dance of Death sculpt from the Bones 4 Kickstarter.

I really enjoyed this one,  finishing it up this last winter. I saw someone mention somewhere online that they were bummed that the heads didn't exactly line up, but I found it reminiscent of dogs when they are snarling while looking sidelong at each other.

Apologies for the scratches and discolorations on the background. I've been meaning to pick up some black cloth to improve that.

      Thanks for taking a look!

I have done about 15 minis over the past year (starting with the Learn to Paint kit), after taking a 30+ year break from painting lead with Testors enamel. Each one I try to learn or improve one technique. This one I focused on pose & basing (took a little surgery to get rid of the pudding base and shape all the claws). The 'rock' is a chunk of bark. Any comments, critiques, questions or suggestions are welcome. Between this forum and YouTube, I am amazed on the knowledge and information available, in an overall great community. Getting ready for Bones V delivery!

Since I suggested it, I guess I'll do it...
Here's a thread to discuss what horror movies, books, shows, comics, and etc that you're looking forward to watching during the holiday.
I'm actually thinking about doing a Scooby-Doo movie marathon:
      Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island
      Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost
Scooby-Doo Meets KISS: A Magical Mystery (yes, this movie exists)
Scooby-Doo and the Curse of the 13th Ghost

What about the rest of you?

Is this encounter a matter of survival or planned by the sorceress.  Her story either way seems... fishy.

First attempt at a large resin Diorama.
It needs the resin sides sanded/buffed with a mechanical sander.  By hand the resin just turns cloudy, so ill will leave it this way until I have access to the proper tool.
a few additional refinements should be done before I enter it into competition
      - more work on wave/ripple patterns.
      - change color / wetness of raft.
      -paint base black.

I am happy with it as a display piece,  I just need to keep the dust off, a the wave surface will be a headache to clean.

      WIP Thread.
