30 Skeletons Hath November

I had a goal to paint 30 skeletons in October (see my work in progress though I am bad at posting progress pics). Well they are finally done!

Like that you color coded them, and that touch of color on the spear really

adds that needed over the edge touch.

They turned out awesome. glad you tested so many techniques on them. What do you believe worked out the best for them?

I think my favorite technique was a base coat of golden skin shadow, then drybrush a 50/50 of that with the darkest of the bone triad (stained ivory) and so on with 1 or 2 more slightly brighter shades. I'd go brighter sometimes or leave darker other times. Then brown wash over the whole thing. I think that lent to a sort of yellow-ish bone with the wash last leaving good definition. It's probably the most common color combo I did.
