Horror challenge

Ok, fair warning: the image below is truly the most horrifying thing you'll ever see. It is not for the squeamish. Click the spoiler at your own risk.

 

 

You were warned.

 

 

The resolutionary horror challenge was to paint a non standard scary critter. I pushed the boundaries on that a little bit ( ok, a lot). I figure that no kind of monster is really all that scary; after all if it bleeds we can kill it, right?

 

What I painted is much worse than that.

 

 

 

Behold!! A traffic cone! You've all seen them, they signify that your morning commute to work/trip to the dentist/hot date/concert plans are all about to take a turn for the worse. You're gonna be late. Even worse, they might signify a detour--you can't get there from here. Now you're lost as well as late. Bwahahahahahahaha!!!

Very scary indeed.  Usually I see multiples of them paired with the larger species, the traffic barrel.

I LOVE it! That is a BEAUTIFUL & HORRIFYING creation. VERY WELL DONE!

For several years my late night commute to my graveyard shift job was lengthened by those horrid things leading me to detours as they worked on widening the L.I. Expressway. When the work was completed after years of inconvenience, it only added a HOV (high occupancy vehicle) lane to the road that, as a solo driver, I couldn't use. I have a special hatred for those things as a result.

I actually got the idea to do this when I was driving to work a few weeks ago and had to make a major detour due to quite a few of these.

 

It's from Secret Weapon; I got it in one of their 'bags o' crap' I might need to buy a few more in the very near future.
