Jasonator
How is everyone doing ? Still climbing the trees ? I hope that you are having fun, and learning more and more ! I've switched over to corresponding with my Norwegian Cousins, reading articles on places I have been to, and planning a trip over this year if I can swing it. A week wandering around Oslo (which is now car free..yeap, no cars in the city center); will be a hoot. Let me know how all of you are doing ! Erifnogard
Day 117, still going.
Doug Sundseth
German, 19 day streak, just passed the second checkpoint. I've been doing the strengthening exercises regularly, since spaced repetition is known to be an effective way to learn things permanently. As I continue along, I remember more, though I've forgotten a dismaying percentage of my noun genders.
JeffStray
Day 121, no idea what half the verbs they're throwing at me mean. I think that my cheating (hovering over words) deprived me of a lot of vocab for many of the sessions.
Silvervane
Day 96, 11 sessions from my third check point. Still doing the 2 reviews / 1 new session / 2 reviews method. Somehow this crazy program thinks I'm at 50% proficiency? I to use the hover method. Still need to check before I hit enter for typos. Glad to hear we are all cruising along. Next up for me is Past tense. Objective pronouns are still a pain though I do better understand how they used now. They are just going to require more practice.
Erifnogard
The game player in me is incredibly frustrated at the lack of things to spend these lingots on. Day 120 though!

Talae
This week was a big competition for my science team at school. The students did well, but I missed two days of Duolingo and lost my 100+ day streak :( Oh well, back to day one...
Talae
The thing that is killing me most about this, is that I thought I only missed Saturday due to getting home after midnight from a long commute after our competition. I missed the fact that I skipped Wednesday also due to a Geek and Sundry game night at the FLGS. I have plenty of lingots that could have paid for the streak freeze power...I just didn't realize I had used it Wednesday.
Erifnogard
I wish the reminder function of the app was more useful. It sends me a notice every night whether I have done the work already or not. Would be more useful if it only sent it when you hadn't done the lessons for the day.

I bet you might have some individuals that would really jump on your suggestions. I finally have stopped doing the refresher's due to the constant nagging I was getting. I don't want to un-subscribe, so I do a refresher or four, and then avoid going for the streak ! With all the Norwegian I personally do, I have a rough time dealing with keeping the vocab fully refreshed. The more I do, the more it demands.. thanks, but no thanks. I'm now doing other things I have promised folks I will do.
Silvervane
This week was a big competition for my science team at school. That's a bummer
Silvervane
Well I made it to day 100 today. I am currently on past tense and it is a struggle as is objective pronouns. I know it is a matter of practice and memory, but I look at the way some of the new sentences are structured and I have to reprogram the way I think. My old code being stubborn at the moment to that. Hope all you others are moving along well.
Jasonator
No One is posting so I guess that everyone has added on another seven days to their streaks ! I continue on reading the newspapers, and refreshing a segment when I feel like it. Strange to be NOT using my notes. Have to watch some of my spelling, they are tossing a few tricky words at me. When I get them right I smile, when I screw up I go beserk...ROFL. Keep it fun, and I hope you have found someone to chat with !
Doug Sundseth
Thirty day streak, level 8. I'm finding the refreshers invaluable for building fluency. Spaced repetition is the only way for me.
