I have been working my way back up the Norwegian tree, and now (with that golden owl at the top), it is so much more fun !

They stopped dinging me when I make a typo, and it takes about ten minutes to do a refresh.

I was laughing when I was doing a segment and realized that I wasn't using notes, I was just reading, or listening to the sentence, and responding.

I am also reading the "notes on each segment".. NOW I am seeing the things I missed.

Some real subtle things that made NO SENSE the first time around.. NOW it is  "WHAT?  OH DUH  !!!  OF COURSE.

I find myself thinking in this language when I get up in the morning.  Don't sweat the small stuff.. Just plug along, it DOES come together

eventually.

Fantastic !!!

Good For You, I hope that you really enjoy it.

KNEE HOW.. Hello.. or "have you eaten yet" !!

Have always loved that Greeting!

It's a neat language. And in some ways seems way simpler than the Latin I took in high school. Plus it helps that my GF is a native speaker. ^_^

Now you have a very good edge in learning that language !!

Head of you tube had that advantage, and used it also.  He is actually fluent in the language now.

As for the Latin, I had five years of it, and I spoke it for a year.

I've used it negotiating foreign cities, and of course, I was extremely popular on a trip to Vatican City,

and St. Peter's.  My daughter was saying "How do You Know This".. I finally said.. "I'm reading the Walls"..sheesh !

Latin I suspect killed the Romans, It almost Killed me !

Gotten quiet around here again.

Hows everyone doing on their respective language?

Hope you are still slaying the trees.

I went to a large shopping club today with my bestest friend,

and while we were wandering up and down the aisles we came across "Norwegian Cod".

I was asked.. Whats that in Norwegian, "Norsk Torsk", and that Norwegian Salmon.. "Norsk Lox",

soon it was wassat, wassat, wassat..LOL.  I had a blast.

Some languages have components that make NO sense in other Cultures.

As an Example:

Hebrew has the ability to drop out the present tense verb.. "The Doron Family  XXXX in Haifa"

Its up to you to fill in the verb of "lives, studies, is starving, exists" in the sentence.

Spanish has a few of those, as does the Scandinavian languages..

Those cross cultural things make the language exciting.

I enjoyed the simple parts, and I really enjoyed when I got into the cognizant parts of the language.

Gave me a taste of how they view the world.

OH.. Sweden today opened up a National Telephone number.

You dial the number and a real Swede will answer the phone and talk to you.

Its from all over the country.  Look up the number on the web, its in the news.

Beste Hilsener.
