The thread title is bugging me; it's "Arcadia Quest", not "Arcadiaquest"...  :lol:

 

I'm leaning towards backing, but I'm not 100% sold on it.  I saw an episode of Watch It Played where he interviewed a guy from CMoN and they touched on some of the new elements from Arcadia Quest: Inferno.  It sounds interesting, but I'll have to see what pops up during the campaign.

On the fence on this one .. I like the SodaPop minis a lot more (and subsequently pledged for it) but the gamepleay of this one seems far better if I read the comments.

 

Isn't there a way to combine these games? :poke:

Yes, ...well more like competitive, teams of 3+ minis fighting to get the most points.

Not killing each other afair.

 

AQ has a 8.12 rating on BGG, SDE a 7.08.

I guess I have to get them both and see how I can get them to work together ^_^

Most of the quests do have the a victory point objective to kill a hero on each of the other players' teams (guilds), but you only get a victory point for the first kill on a given guild (most of your victory points come from PvE quests, like killing a boss monster).  Plus, if you attack a player instead of a monster while monsters are adjacent to your hero, the monsters get a free attack.  So there is some PvP, but it's very risk-reward driven (and even then, there's not much incentive to keep ganking other players' heroes).
