Cool.
But what did you use for the base?
Is it a water bottle cap ? And you nicely based it ??

Either way, I love the whole thing

The little touch of blue around the eyes is a nice touch.

Thanks. I was trying to go for that glazed over eye look.

Good to see you're painting again.

Very nice.

I found it really hard to light and photograph such a tall model, I'll have to get him off his shelf and try and take better pictures at some point in the future. I chose the bright red tongue to tie in with the reddish muscle and the red roses (which are a theme of my Warhammer Vampire project) as a spot colour.

This one was painted for a Frostgrave facebook group challenge, the theme was "undead"

My sister uses these guys in her vampire warband for frostgrave and mordheim, so I decided to paint one of them

By the way it is around my one year anniversary on the forum, I'm really happy that I've discovered this place about a year ago, it has been a place of inspiration and helpful feedback for me and I hope it will stay the same for the next year
Cheers and happy holidays to you all!

      Greetings!

I recently bought some Greenstuffworld colourshift paints & eagerly wanting to try them out, I searched through my (huge) Bones backlog for a suitably metallic mini. I grabbed the fantastically ominious Iron Golem from the Bones 4 Stoneskull Expansion & got to work.

The blue areas are the colourshift paint, all the other areas are standard paints.

I'm really happy with how it turned out. It's not as easy to see the effect on these pics as it is with your own eyes but you can make it out. There's no shading or highlighting on these areas apart from some silver to pick out the rivets & sharp edges on the arm plates.

      Thanks for looking!

More undead for the table top, because you can never have too many.

These guys bring me to 56 minis painted for the year.

Poor old Linus. Doomed to wander the earth forever with a sweater tied around his waist while lugging an invisible satchel*. The newspaper is an image I downloaded months ago and decided to use as the base originally looked like Linus was shambling across an ashtray. After supergluing the paper to the base and daubing it with Blood For The Blood God I remembered that I'm a newspaper designer and could have knocked up a front page on our editorial system. But it's Saturday.

Apologies for the photos, they were taken with my phone.
