etherial
Bucky is probably on the Most Wanted list for his work as the Winter Soldier, and is wanted dead or alive, preferably dead. Cap, knowing that Bucky has finally broken free of his brainwashing at the hands of Hydra and the Russians, is of course, going to try to bring him in and save him. And that's where the "Civil War" starts. Cap standing up for his friend, doing the right thing. Not necessarily the legal, gov't sanctioned thing. At 0:22, there is a shot of a UN meeting of some kind exploding, with Bucky's voiceover saying "I don't do that anymore." and Cap saying "Well, the people who think you did it are coming right now. They're not planning on taking you alive." Edited November 26, 2015 by etherial
Sanael
Yeah, this looks like it's going to be one of many events - Cap's story - that takes place during the "Civil War." I know we won't have multiple movies about the civil war specifically (not the far-reaching multi-title crossover of the comics), but I'm sure there will still be references to it throughout the various Marvel series and movies in the near future. It's interesting that the legislation involved here appears to be much more global and far-reaching than the SRA of the comics. I do appreciate that the movies have attempted to make Supers something that affects much more than New York City. The comics are all very US-centric, with a few random fictional satellites like Wakanda and Latveria...Avengers 2 did a number on that concept. I'm still a little skeptical about what CA:CV will bring, but this trailer is pretty great. Edit because my phone posted before I was done... Cranky Dog
With the amount of popular Marvel titles whose movie rights are not in Disney's hands (FF, Spider-Man, X-Men), it's going to feel like a pale comparison of the potential of the original story line. Then again, if they had all of the licences, it could've been a multi-movie story arc. We already have the infinity Gauntlet thing going. Jokemeister
Info on the accords http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Massive-Way-World-Sticking-It-Avengers-Captain-America-Civil-War-96687.html Ah - that is good info - wasn't aware of that before. I can see that being a much better impetus for the SRA (sorry - but if you title the movie Civil War, I will call it the Superhuman Registration Act ). Also, I love how the SRA is being positioned as the heroes needing supervision while, under 2 of the 3 incidents leading to the SRA mentioned in that site, the superheroes were supposedly under the supervision of SHIELD. Obviously, I know that isn't the way News and public opinion works - still find it hilarious though.
