Honestly, the Civil war type storylines interest me about as much as a congressional speech... I'd rather avoid it, in other words.

It's just another of those 'dark hero' and 'tormented antihero' or whatever downer is 'in' with the writers. I can't stand that stuff.

Soon, they'll probably add a hero whose power is based on him cutting himself and reading bad poetry like some elf! emo...

There hasn't been a proper superhero movie made since The Mystery Men.

Flame ON!

And BTW: The Podracing scenes in Star Wars 'I'... A pale copy of the racing scenes in The PinchCliffe Grand Prix.

I haven't read it recently, but I think a few jumped ship in the middle after the punisher " on the good guys side"  was outright killing those on the other side (wanted to keep their identity secret).

edit: ooooh 1000th post, now the questions are what title to use and how soon I should declare for procrastius.

Bro. You're name is wargamer. How can you not be in Tabletop?

This looks awesome.

I think Captain America 2: WS  was the best of the direct sequels,   and I have high hopes for this one as well.

I like the idea of superheroes fighting of an idea rather than the black and white of super-villians.

I am a little worried that they will have to explain too many heroes.  but maybe they have laid enough groundwork to avoid it.

Honestly, given that almost all of the characters showed up in other movies, I really think they can get away with it.  By now, assuming they watched the previous movies, most people will be familiar with almost all of the characters.

The two notable exceptions being Spider-Man and Black Panther.  While we don't know the specifics of this Spider-Man, the character itself is well known enough that they don't need to do a major movie to introduce the character first.  Which means the only real new character is Black Panther - who admittedly, most people probably won't know.

This is why you really have to give Marvel a massive amount of kudos.  They haven't rushed their movies and have slowly built up the various characters who show up in other movies as cameos.  This gives the audience a chance to get to know the characters before they all show up.  They did the same thing with Avengers (slowly building up most of the heroes so you didn't need to spend much time in the Avengers movie introducing them).

Plus, Civil War looks like its a 2:37 marathon (woot!) so it looks like they are giving time in the movie for events to really develop.

Overall - I'm really looking forward to this!
