I finished a seal! He looks like a water puppy! He's supposed to be in a rug over some tiles, not sure that translated.

Oh he's cute!  I love the eyes you did on him.  And I like the greens on the scarf.  These are such cute little things to paint.  :-)

He's cute! Although the rug looks a bit like a Pringles potato chips. Could just be because I'm looking at it on my phone

Very lovely seal and present. Is it a fur rug? Looks like it was made from a polar bear. Guess the seal got the last laugh.

 

If not, you could try painting a pattern on the rug to help bring the idea across.

That was kind of what I was thinking. Normally, the polar bear wins... Not this time!

Was going to heckle you for not doing stripes on the gift wrap - then i saw that it was gold with a silver edge - you are truly a glutton for punishment fine detail work!

 

i was thinking crepe rather than pringle... but yeah, not sure how we get that to read as a rug - maybe if it was a rectangle then you could brush the edges on two ends to make it look like fringe?

 

who cares? the seal is cute! i'm not looking at the tortilla he is served up on ;)

Haha! The other 2 familiars have stripes on theirs too! Figured if I was gonna do it, I better get it down!
