malefactus
That looks WONDERFUL, especially when I consider the sticks we used to use to mark rooms & corridors in my erstwhile AD&D Group...AND OH THE POSSIBILITIES!
Talae
Thanks! I saw them as an investment in my gaming future. My daughter actually took some today and built layout to play with her My Little Ponies while I painted. Made me realize I made the right choice.
Talae
Getting there. Everything has at least some paint on it.
Talae
Finished up this morning with this: Now the temptation is to move onto the Dungeon terrain instead of picking out the details on these pieces...especially since I need to figure out the coloration choices due to the transition piece in the Cavern set that has dungeon wall on one side of it.
Talae
Testing out colors for picking out detailsand I think I like Jade Green and Gem Purple. Thoughts?
Talae
I think I am ready to call this done (except the dungeon side of that one wall...). More pictures found below: I plan to use a decent amount of these for our session on Sunday. Normally I would already be setting them up, but we are playing board games Saturday night using the same table.
Moderator Chaoswolf Posted January 2, 2016 Moderator Share Posted January 2, 2016 Congrats, that's a heck of a lot of painting! I like the accent colors you've chosen, they provide some visual interest without looking out of place.

Talae
Reactions to painted terrain were much more tame than I expected. I am still glad I put the effort in, though. It feels good to have them done! Organization drawers arrive Wednesday. I will snap a picture when I get them put away.
Silvervane
Yeah, I tend to get mixed reaction to terrain pieces as well. "That how is cool.. Oh look at the cool mini!" Even if I put more hours into the terrain piece. Nice work getting them finished. I have several Hirst Art projects that I've stalled on.
