Dwarven Forge Dungeons Game Tiles Tabletop Paint Job

After painting the Cavern tiles, I am feeling ambitious  (and avoiding work) so I am going to try and paint these tiles too.

 

I bought these two sets from eBay a while back and one came painted (albeit pooryl), the other unpainted. I think I will leave the painted ones as is and attempt to finish the unpainted today. It is a race before my gaming group shows up to play board games in four hours.

I got through a lot of the work, but did not finish.

 

Steps:

• Basecoat of Gothic Dungeon (Game Decor Paintworks) - Check
• Detail of Earth Stone (Dwarven Forge) - Check
• Drybrush of Olive Drybrush (Dwarven Forge) - Half done
• Drybrush of Stone Edge Drybrush  (Dwarven Forge) - Up next

I figure it is probably less than an hour of work. If that is the case, I would have been able to finish had I not stopped during my rush to bathe children and cook dinner prior to the game session.

 

Hopefully I can fit in some time in the morning.

Finished up drybrushing Olive Drybrush and then everyone showed up for the game today. I have the last step to do, but it may have to wait until later this week.

 

I can actually say that I am nearly done painting my Dwarven Forge terrain!

I did not go to work today due to my son being sick. I am sitting in the second doctor's visit so far. If this ends it, I hope to get some hobby time in during naptime. Maybe.

Doctor results were that he is sick. Common cold or something viral. Glad I took the day off in the end, though. He was really tired and it meant more snug time.

 

This is the result from earlier today (while he refuesd a nap so he and his sister watched a movie). Half done!

I stayed up longer than I should have, but the left side of the pic is 100%. The other stuff needs the last layer of paint (plus things like doors and barrels).

 

So close!

I am fighting sleep while putting my daughter to bed.

 

If I am successful and finalize my paintjobs, I will be able to organize it all tomorrow when the organization drawers I bought online arrive.

 

On the other hand I could sleep...

I stumbled into the hobby room and put some paint down on a few pieces. Then, the wife opted to watch some TV.

 

Oh well, progress is progress.

Put in another half hour after watching an episode or two.

 

I am now done with everything but the wood portions of the doors and the barrels. I almost powered through, but it is beyond late for me...and I have work tomorrow. I will finish the last details tomorrow  (hopefully while organizing things).

LOOKIN' GOOD! They all really do look SPLENDID. That's the way I always hope my erstwhile AD&D Group would go...the terrain lost out to the dips & chips.

I am nearing the end. At 99% done. Only some metallic paint for the door hinges and barrels, then the demon door.

 

The demon door has me stumped. Not sure I care for the green in this pic found online. I guess that I could go with a green with a metallic drybrushed over it...clockwork brass maybe? Thoughts?
