I like to randomly search Wikipedia sometimes. Turns out that the 'Murgatroyd' from Snagglepuss's 'Heavens to Murgatroyd' refers to an English surname. Johanus de Morgateroyde, or literally: Johanus of Moor Gate Royde.

A testament of how not awake I am:

I accidentally re-used a k cup in my keurig from yesterday, just on autopilot clicking buttons. Fortunately I noticed that it was too light before drinking it.

The time change is definitely still messing with me. I went to bed at a totally decent time last night, but then did little more than toss and turn.

Why do political signs around here still say things like "Vote for Soandso, punch this number"?

 

I don't think we've had punch ballots since shortly after the shambolic 2000 election, hanging chads and all that rubbish.

 

It's an archaism like "Don't touch that dial! ("What dial?" my kids asked)
