I told him I'm just going to call him Michael from now on since that's apparently easier on my brain. He said he never pictured himself as a Mike, but he's cool with it.

Good thing I've known him for just about 2 years, so it's not like he thinks I legit forgot his name - he knows I'm just tired.

I think my husband may once have had a Crown Royal bag, but if so it has died long since.

 

My first dice bag was lost with all contents around 1986 and I still am not quite considering everything acquired after that my "real" dice yet.

 

My second dice bag was gotten at an SCA event and was heavy gold curtain brocade. It lasted well until it abruptly disintegrated all at once a few years back.

 

My husband suggested I dragoon one of the reusable printed cotton gift bags I had made up, so I fit my dice into one with a print of flying saucers and little kids dressed as spacemen drawn crayon-style on a black background, a remnant from a gift pair of overalls for the baby of a friend who was involved with Star Trek in a professional capacity.

 

Then my husband surprised me with a dice bag made from a sparkly spider print with glow-in-the-dark skull beads on the drawstrings. I also got more dice, so I put all the d6s and my last original D&D dice in the flying saucer bag and everything else in the spider bag.

 

Now I have just acquired a bag which came with a free soap sample. It's a little small and it is white velvet -- the worst dust magnet since, well, it's just the worst. Ask any rueful winter bride. It is also *extremely* fragrant. But it -- it wants to hold dice.

 

Hmm. Must consider.

Our CIO retired and he was a great guy, mostly hands off, hired the right people and trusted them etc.. new guy is from Chase, wants this and that and wants them right now.. and has now decided to give the IT department a 'brand' because obviously everyone cares about what the IT departments 'brand' is

 

This is an honest to god sentence from the email announcing our brand name

 

'Our top-level branding will reinforce the values associated with acting as one team, encourage horizontal thinking and eliminate unnecessary silos. Continuing to reference each functional area separately doesn’t add value to our brand, encourage cross-functional transparency or increase collaboration.'

That is exactly the kind of sentence that makes people hate management and contributes to the fact that management is completely out of touch with reality.

Retired my original for a fresh one here a couple years ago, but I don't think I'd be happy with anything other than a Crown Royal dice bag.

Speaking of Dice Bags... I have never owned a Crown Royal one. I've always gotten mine either from Renaissance Faires (usually leather or cloth hand made) or most recently I got one from an Etsy Seller (AbbotsHallowStudios).

 

My favorite bag by a long shot as you can customize it, looks similar to this one, but with a purple iris and slit eye like a dragon.
