Never got into the Wheel of Time books. I'll give the show a try.

They're adapting some more Pratchett books for the tube. Now that I'm excited about.

Took my hobby nippers to my sisters to work on some bookmarks we're making...left them there. Now I can't start working on my Tiefling bust and I had a sad.

Improvise! Adapt! Overcome!

Or just break out the Xacto knife and be real careful.

Lol. Tried. Snapped a piece. Started the plinth instead. Really need those nippers. It's okay, I'll have them soon.

@ Pegazus

I don't want to think about the 20 bones 2 minis I have yet to paint. Don't want to think about the 20 bones 3 minis I have coming.

Just attempted to help out a new forum member (Bones group of threads) with pictures of five Bones figures, split between KS I and KS II.

So. Many. Unpainted. Twenties.

Twenties upon twenties.

And the frustrating part is that going through the KS II core box, I ran across several figures that I'd done for last year's Memorial Day Binge painting. Little dismayed that I'll have to paint those again. Might find a worthy home for them with someone else.

I've been much more selective with KS3 given the massive backlog I have from the first two.  Granted more selective doesn't necessarily mean I'm not still getting a ton of Bones. 50 20's of Blackstar Corsairs being the biggest investment.

Honestly, I'll probably end up selling most of the bones 2 and bones 3 core sets. I like the bones material but my tastes have changed so much over the last year, I don't see myself ever getting around to most of them. The big ones, I'll keep. Love the larger bones minis.

I've given away some to friends for Frostgrave warbands.

ETA:  I agree that Bones is best for the larger models.

Or just shoot them across the hall with a slingshot, while singing 'it's raining men'

I'd figure out a way to get to Reapercon just to see that happen.

Might set up a game of some sort. Get it in the bucket, and win your choice of prizes. Then everything that is shot is collected and sent to either the Bones modification class, or held for a later Paint N Take.

I wouldn't do it at ReaperCon for the sole reason that I'd want to game the system by snatching from the PnT, shooting it into the bucket, rinse and repeat.

I guess I'm only being halfway kidding on that.

Ghost bunny sighted tonight. Usual place as I was coming home from work.

Was getting a bit worried that maybe he had crossed over as I hadn't seen him in several months, but nope, he's still around.

Silly ghost bunny.

I spotted a Darsc in the usual Randomness tonight.  I was getting worried that he had crossed over into the Ordered portions of the forum, never to be seen again but nope, he's still around.  And that's Greeaaaat!

I sense you may not be taking my ghost bunny sighting seriously. <_<

Really? That *is* exciting!

I've mixed feelings about that. I've some of the animated adaptations and a live action adaptation on disc and I don't feel they captured the magic of Pratchetts writing very well.

I know that there's been others, Hogswatch for one, so I guess it's just a matter of keeping ones fingers crossed.

The animated versions were done early and on the cheap. Like for example, they did the common practice of every voice actor recording their lines in complete isolation, which meant that no one could respond to the tone of anyone else and so a lot of what were supposed to be jokes, funny lines, and banter fell flat. Also the drawing was hasty and crude. And really, there is no way to film a satire of rock music without using actual rock music somewhere in it.

I appreciated that the cartoons were there, but they felt like they were holding places for something better to come.

I feel like Hogfather was orders of magnitude better, really worthy of annual holiday watching. And of course there are any number of live theatrical adaptations, although I haven't seen a production.

Which live action production do you have?

Busy eating my way through a Jerky Mystery Box I got today.

Haven't worked up the courage to try the bacon or kangaroo jerkys yet though.

Bacon jerky, from my experience is like elfing meat candy. It's amazing

Wasn't too impressed, found it very salty and fatty.

Also not too taken by the kangaroo version either, it tastes okay but smells way too much like dog treats for me to enjoy it.

I don't think I'm cut out for the world of exotic jerkys.

Trying to put off mowing the lawns for as long as possible this morning.

I have to get it done, as ours is the only place on the block that hasn't been mown yet this year, and I'm starting to get the old stink eye from the neighbours, but it's like the most boring chore ever.

Which live action production do you have?

The Color of Magic with David Jason, Sean Aston, Tim Curry, and featuring Christopher Lee as the VOICE OF DEATH.

With that cast you'd think it would be better than it turned out. I think part of it was that it felt like many of the actors were miscast in their roles.

As an aside, I was a fan of David Jason in A Touch Of Frost mystery series and always thought he'd make a great Sam Vimes. Seeing him cast as Rincewind just didn't seem right. He's much too old for the part.

I've never seen Hogswatch but I've heard good things about it.

Also. Anybody else having problems with the quote feature acting all wonky tonight?
