Suggestions:

Motorhead or Lemmy poster on the wall somewhere (reduce a pic of him & the band to fit the scene)

Jack Daniels bottle on the ground somewhere.

Posters are covered I got a lot to choose from.

Jack Daniels bottle would be great, not sure how to do that though?

The bottle is a fairly simple conversion.  Find a squarish bead that matches the shape of the lower body then attach a cone of greenstuff to the top and seal the hole on the bottom.  Once cured, cut the top flat.

To really sell the scene you could make some garbage bags too.  Fairly simple project and I have a few exampleso n my blog.

If you keep the second cat, maybe move it to the side of the dumpster near the wall. It looks odd standing in the open.

I was thinking something similar. Or maybe have it coming around the front corner of the dumpster, surprised by the scene.

Where did the background come from? Is it printed? Is it possible to shrink it a bit? Maybe scan it and print it out and paste it onto another board? I just say because the bricks are a bit large in scale for the overall size of the wall. But maybe that won't matter so much if you intend to cut it down a bit.

It is a piece of card building from railroad modelling. scale is actually HO so they were meant to be bigger.

Seemed to me that this would make a nice alley wall,

I will cut it to size, apply graffitit and some posters and advertisments. That will make it blend in,

Question for the US people.

The scene is set in the US. what colour do garbage bags have there? Ours are either grey/black or blue.

And dumpsters? I tend to put graffiti on but the back colour? can that be any colour or does USA have blue or green only?

As for the cats, I will drop the hissing cat. Maybe put another one on the dumpster.

Robinh said it, the indeifference of cats, so I was leaning towards the one that is washing itself to put next to the other one.

Also, been playing around with ideas.

I was thinking maybe a casualty? See first pic, only it would be someone else.

I need her to back up the pimp.

Not sure yet, might get too crowded? And I do want the dumpster to be in good view too.

Speaking of which, some graffiti on the dumpster in felt pen, so I can erase that.

First tries..like? hate?

It will be painted in appropiate colours of course, this is the mock up.

I like the graffiti; looks good!

The dumpster can be lterally any color you want it to be; I've several different shades of green, black, blue, red, grey, and brown. Ok, maybe not white, but almost any color you can think of.

As far as trash bags, most kitchen bags are usually white, most larger (industrial/warehouse) bags are brown or black. That's in my experience, of course.

I don't think I'd do any casualties; having the scene be frozen in time gives that 'what happens next?' feeling.

The dumpser colour normally matches the company. Waste Disposal (actual company name) uses dark green but I have seen everything from black, dark blue, tan, and around here a new company uses neon green.

The big name garbage bags are normally black but the old non-biodegradeable were a dark green (would read as black at that scale). There are other colours but they are normally seasonal or more expensive.

If you look at my bags I make them using actual garbage bags so I would grab a black one and go to town.

Thx both.

I will leave the casualty idea out. And stick with the original.

There will be more graffiti. Just trying out and seeing if this works.

I have painted loads of Fantasy but this street scene is a new one for me.

Having fun already and didn't even paint yet.

Garbage bags and dumpster advice taken. Thx guys..

Just remember that Graffiti and posters are limited to the reach of the artist.  I would not go over board either.  KISS method works here as you do not want the background stealing the scene.   Also Graffiti on the dumpster is expected.

Good one!!! Hadn't considered that.

Q: Is your wall textured/3d?

If not, maybe consider running the end of a mechanical pencil lightly between the stones to bring out the texture. Don't push too hard, though, wouldn't want to break through the card.

It is 3d has some texture so no problem there.

Here in California, dumpsters and garbage cans are color coded. Green is for recyclables, and blue (usually dark blue on metal and medium-blue on plastic) is for the landfill. Black trash cans of the smaller sort are not unheard of, but landfill dumpsters are almost uniformly blue.

Large plastic trash bags are generally black or a green so dark as to be almost black. Some, mostly used for cleaning up the yard of leaves and grass, are brown. Smaller trash bags are white.

Thx, I'm leaning to a green dumpster, showing a bit of metal as weathering and heavily violated with graffiti and maybe a poster.

Maybe a few garbage bags on the side or one in front, as if the dumpster is full.
