Honestly, though, even if you have no tools to speak of, dropping about $150-175 at Micromark will basically set you up for a very long time - hobby pliers, clippers, a jeweler's saw and blades, razor saw, scalpels and blades, pin vise and hobby-sized bits, pinning materials...
