I picked Rasia Bladedancer up in my last order.  I decided rather than add her to my waiting to be painted list I should start her up.  I wanted to try out a new skin tone, so I'm going with the olive skin.  Got her cleaned up and skin base coated when I noticed several lines I missed.  I painted up her eyes, not a fan of the eyelid sculpted on them.  Someday I should get back to practicing sculpting so I can sculpt eyes over something like these.

Here is where she stands at the moment.

Painted up part of her skin today.  Kinda a slicker day for me.  I used the olive skin shadow to shade the skin.  I then Highlighted with olive skin highlight.  From there I decided it needed to go a bit higher in the contrast so I mixed in some Fair skin highlight to the olive skin highlight.  I think the face came out.  Need to finish up the rest of the skin tomorrow.  I'm still trying to decide on the color of her clothes.

I find the sculpt a bit weird, with crazy abs, but no arm muscles?

Maybe this seems weird to focus on such a small detail, but the right knee is just so totally nailed.

Yeah, I felt the ads are a bit much.  I've yet to paint up the arms so I'll wait to adjust abs till after then.

Y'know, the right bit of highlight and shading might punch up her biceps to match her abs...

Skin got some more work today.  Arms, hands, and breast were painted up.  I then decided to bring up the shadows on the stomach.  I like the effect better now.  I then decided, after looking closer at the mini, that I need to paint up the shawl before I work on the hair, as she has part of her shawl recessed in her.  So for some reason Scale 75's Caribbean Blue stood out to me.  Not one to fight my inspiration when painting any more than necessary, I painted up a bit to test the way the color looks.

Here how she looks at the moment:

It's a Dennis Mize. His work was kind of idiosyncratic but recognizable in many ways. I have a Reaper elf bard by him with a very similar look.

That was something I hadn't put together.  She does look a lot like Tyden I had painted up from LTPK 3 or 4.
