50001: Sascha Dubois, Time Chaser painted by Pingo

This is one of the first minis I bought after coming back to the hobby after a twenty-year hiatus.  I started her, then stalled for a long time, then finished her off as part of my year-end Conga Line.  She's a nice figure.

I come from a painting background. Under the metallics I used the classical colors, black for the silver and Mars Red (Red Iron Oxide) for the gold. Mars Red is also the foundation for the red trim on her coat, although much highlighted and glazed with other colors.

nice i like how it came out as almost a copper. its good to know for future reference.

someone told me for a good pop of gold color use green or blue as the color under gold.

I really like your color scheme for her. I think on a fantasy mini it could look busy, but on a sci-fi/steampunk it looks really good. Also really like your job on her eyes, capturing that little gleam. And really love her hair, it turned out excellently both in color and the highlights from the light!
