Recommended Posts

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mierceminiatures/darklands-savage-hordes-ii/description

Mierce are back to fund missile troops for the kindreds that don't have them yet (and didn't get them in the Savage Hordes KS)

Miniatures are available in resin (all of them) and metal (not available for some of the larger creatures)

SIgnificant discounts from buying the hosts

I like those Wolvax, but I'm not a huge fan of bow-wielding minis in general.

It's been a really long time since I've received any new minis from Mierce, so I'm hesitant to put more money in until I see the pipeline working again. I get they're working on the rules and whatnot, but I don't really care about the rules and whatnot :)

Also since they haven't finshed many of their previous KS I am not too keen to give them more money at this time.

Yes ... why start another KS already?  They could have integrated these minis in the previous KS .. that only ended 3 months ago!

Not ordering anything before the last one has delivered ..

I believe that this is a part of their business plan. I think I've read someplace that they intend to run one "bigger" KS once a year and a couple of "smaller" ones a few times a year.

Well, in their defense, they do overlap their artists quite a lot, and up until last year they'd been making regular shipments (if you go with wave shipping). Reasons given were health issues with the mold maker (or was it caster?) and then working on the rulebook(s), but it is what it is at this point.

If you don't go with wave shipping, it takes a looong time for them to deliver a KS.

It's most noticeable for me because I went really big into the New Kindreds KS which is where the delay kicked in for fulfillment. I've got 4 shipping waves backed up now, and the special 'drinker' minis I ordered waaaay back when still haven't been added to the store properly. Every couple months I send a nag mail to Rob, just sent one now.

I've now got all my minis from them except the metal Jutes from the last one, and I'm expecting those in another month or two.. but yes, they are really behind.. i bugged Rob enough that he finally cast and sent the last two resins I was waiting on, and when a part was bad, he sent me a replacement within 2 days..

@Findariel (forum isn't letting me quote at the moment),

these would have been in the last KS if funding had got high enough, but sadly for mierce (but happily for those of us like me who couldn't afford it all at once) it didn't

hence this is Savage Hordes II which continues where that last one left off

I think Mierce have just about established themselves enough to justify starting a new kickstarter before they've completed their last one BUT, when it's a case of starting a new one with about five outstanding I'm not sure it's right and I'm not sure it should be allowed. I'm waiting on content from four of their previous kickstarters, I'm not backing any more until those are completed.

I'll back for the Ysian host, but I'm really cutting back on my spending in general and on Mierce in particular right now.  I have hundreds and still haven't fully painted a single one.  So, Ysian, Jutes, and Khthones are going to be it for me with a few individual model exceptions probably.

      Hi chums!

This is the latest Kickstarter project, expanding our fantasy range this time, and bringing light to the ones we have that might not have been noticed. Along with some super cool female minis, we have some brand new scenics too, and a whole bunch of add on bundles.
I'll post more on the lead up, but for now if you're interested, could you click the "notify me" on the pre launch page and it will help the algorithms, and you know algorithms are the new gods!

A new kickstarter from Crooked Dice. I've been following the publicity for this and it really appeals to me. Lots of very colourful figures and most of them are a nice change from the usual predictable gun-toting heavies. I've collected plenty of Crooked Dice figures over the years and always been very pleased with the quality.

      Story
Welcome everyone to the Kickstarter campaign for Sun & Moon. Two highly detailed 1:20 scale (90mm) resin kits  cast in high quality resin. Sun Is roughly 100mm to the top of his head!
Sun & Moon comparisment: Sun stands at nearly 100mm!!!
This has been the project that has been the longest in the works and also our most expensive one to date! We could really use your help to bring these two kits onto the market so we do hope that you like what you see and will be able to back us and help us spread the word! :)
      Story
Many years back, the idea to do some themed knights popped into my head and out of all of those, Sun & Moon were the ones that really stuck and kept coming back in my thoughts.  The idea to do two characters that are opposites of each other in every way really appealed to me.
      Sun
You have the Sun Knight, devout follower of the Sun God, a fiery and strong warrior with everything about him representing his deity. I can just see him painted in bright and warm colours that embody the very essence of the Sun!
      Moon
And then you have the Moon Knight, a cool and brooding figure that operates under the cover of darkness, guided by the wisdom of the Moon Goddess. Very much a deadly warrior in her own right! Painted in moody hues that represent the colours that only moonlight can shower the world in.

Nice models and one of the SG is a 20% discount on the Kimera Colors range (They will open a pre-order for their "almost-impossible-to-buy" colors at the end of April)

Pretty straightforward, a lady with more or less clothes.

Introducing "Misa, a Night to Remember"!
On our store there is already an alternative version of Misa. In this project we decided to make it with more accessories, and through the objects, a different pose and always ... less dressed!
She will be available in 75mm as well as 32mm scale, base and fullbody. By pledging you will receive the .STL files (unsupported and pre-supported) once the campaign has ended.
      So Happy 3D Printing everyone!
