How about rolling out a long this strip of GS, let it cure and cut to size, then superglue on

The fingers themselves are easy, just carve them out of spare sprue plastic or shape some plastic rod.  Then drill holes and insert them at appropriate angle.  At most only a few joints on each finger will be sticking out. The part I'm not sure of is I want it to look like water flowing around the fingers.  If you've ever seen how a swift stream kind of rides up one side of a stick that is coming out of the water with the downstream side of hte water kind of hollowed down a bit, that is what I want to do.

Ok, I think I'm done with faces.  I'm probably not going to do the hands thing as I'm pretty pleased with it as is.  I'll sleep on it and decide tomorrow.

Contemplating paint schemes. Maybe base coat purple. Keep the skin purple but work it up to a lighter shade. The souls on the pole arm and the fire mane in blues. Not sure on the armor, brass or copper? The pole arm in chitounous colors, maybe Browns, though could go with something redder. Bone for the whip handle. Thoughts?

These are as disorganized as they were when they occurred to me:

Deep dark purple that was about the same light/dark value as navy blue would contrast nicely copper/brass armor.

If the purple got gradually lighter moving from noggin to tips of tentacles that might be nifty. Hot pink tentacle tips slowly fading to deadly dire purple.

Could each strand of captured soul be a slightly different hue? Shaded with purple ink in the recesses...

Blades on the pole arm could be chitinous brown but the insides could be coated in copper (as if metallized by magic) on the toothy portions.

Wings ... not sure about the wings. Green in the webbing? Purple in the ribs? Sort fades and blends from the purple to bright sickly green.

Green tentacle tips might be a thought. The gradient fade from hot green to deep purple might be creepier. Let wings and tentacles echo each other's color gradient.

Well I hope nobody thinks I'm going to paint it anywhere that well!
I was trying to find something totally different and one of the results was that thing with tentacles changing colors somewhat like what I was nattering on about.

If you did the stave with reddish brown claws (and the metallic copper pointy bits) the ghosts it is wrapped with could be pale ghost-green. There's an opportunity for a red-green complementary contrast effect there.

Sooo are you done yet?

Hmmm... how about now?

Any progress?

Ignore those that wish to rush great art!

This is a vintage mini, Grenadier Dragonman Sorcerer, I got it from a BOGW a few years ago.

I will use him as a Demon Officer in my Children of the Grave army, because I think he looks a bit like a classic Demon.

Hi everyone, I completed this one last night. 02181, Sirithis the Succubus sculpted by Bob Ridolfi. This is a Dark Heaven Legends model. I painted her with Reaper MSP paint and mounted her on a 40 mm round base sku: 74033. Censored for the younger audience. Uncensored version of the pictures can be found on my blog or FB page.

Hi everyone.  Got a couple more demons for you today.  This is a pair of Bones Fly Demons for use as Chasme in D&D.  These guys could also serve double duty as Giant Flies for Rangers of Shadow Deep.

      More Below the Spoiler:

Feel free to check out more of my demons and devils in my Blood War project HERE.

If anyone has any leads on other interesting giant fly minis please share them, as I've been finding it difficult to find good models for RoSD.

Also, how do you paint insect wings?  They're such a unique feature in the animal kingdom and I'd love to see how you go about it?

The current center-piece of my Demonic Army, a Balrog "Balor."

This is "Errtu, Balor" from the Legend of Drizzt D&D Board Game.  I painted him up about a year ago and he was one of the first huge minis I ever attempted.  There's a lot that I wish I'd done better looking back on it, but you have to make mistakes to get better!
