I'm not 100% sure this is the right place to put this, but I've ended up needing a 28mm dog miniature, hopefully some sort of german shepherd in a standing or running pose. Does anyone know of a company/sculptor/manufacturer who happens to keep a sculpt of something like this in production? I've already shot Miniature Mojo an email but I'm guessing they're no longer producing them. They've been out of stock for years if forum posts on other, less trustworthy forums are to be believed.

Thank you, both of you! The ebob work made it to miniature mojo as well, and both of them are out of stock. They're really excellent, though. I'm hoping miniature mojo can find some more, but I'm not optimistic. Like I said, they've been out of stock for a long time.

The lead for Zombicide is a pretty good one. It's not really a great pose for the scene, but maybe I can do something with it.

Thanks for the pointer to armorcast. I did see those before, and I'll consider them.

You know I've never looked for dogs before and I just did a search of "Dog" in Reapers store and they are surprising lacking. I only found three that would look kind of modern.

In the last kickstarter there were two wolves that could be painted easily to resemble German Shepherds.

Have you thought of those ?

I was recently apart of a Kickstarter that is still working stuff out but they should be shipping sometime this year. Any whoo, they have an update with their dogs. Worth looking into once they actually have it to purchase on their web site.

Running out of "fun" groups of mini's to paint in Batman, these are pretty generic angry dogs.  I'm not a big fan of the pose.

These are from wargames Atlantic. No conversions or kitbashing. I just brought a single sprue from ebay to try them out.

The figures were really easy to paint. There is a convention/understanding I think that if you were not a noble in dark ages to medieval Ireland the only dye colour you could use was yellow. I may try a different colour for the yellow on subsequent minis as not sure it is quite right.

I'm pleased with the dogs, which took barely any time to paint. Scale 75 brown gray, then an umber wash, then two grey drybrushes. And done.

If I buy two or three more sprues I should have enough for a Saga war band or to use in skirmish games. I'd just need to get some cavalry and buy or make some elites.

I saw these in the kickstarter board and decided to give them a try.  I am showing them to show that I am still occasionally touching a paintbrush.   It also gave me a chance to try out one of my new backdrops from the closing of Hanger 18, sorry to see them go, but there are only so many hours in a day...

Its not the best work I have ever done but these were a lot of fun to paint.  these fine furry friends are:

      Rupert the Great Dane Mage
Max the Daschund Inquisitor (i cant think of a more perfect role)
      Lluienda the Shiba Bard
      Waldorf the St Bernard Cleric
      and Barry the Chow brewmister

well done and expressive, they do have some rough spots and I probably should have spent some more time cleaning up the minis before I started painting them but It was a fun project and i still have more...

      Hope you enjoy them!

So I just finished playing Styx Master Of Shadows and I REALLY want to make a character in the future for an RPG based off of him. I am having trouble finding a miniature that is unique and similar to the main character Styx. Any help would be great.

This guy is original. You'll understand if you play the game.

Also, Side note from looking up photo for everyones reference, Styx Master of Shadows is a prequel to Of Orcs and Men. I also recommending playing Styx if you like Assassins Creed. The fighting mechanics are a bit annoying but once you get it is can be HIGHLY satisfying.

      So here is the idea:

I'm looking for miniatures that are "taking cover" or "cowering in fear." They will be added into terrain pieces/scatter pieces for games. I am look for all genre's. Sci-fi-, modern and fantasy are to top 3 but any kind of miniature would be appreciated. I can always convert them if i need to.

      Key Words:
Cover Hiding Take Cover Shelter Cower
On the note of conversion I thought about those mix and match plastic pieces too - Frostgrave spur came to mind. I have seen web sites that sell off just certain bits.

Here are two suggestions from a Forumite. I like these and it is a jumping off point.

Please post if you know of anything that fits this category. I would really appreciate it.
