Very nicely done!

My only real critique is that you need to work a bit on the blending with the blues on the back of his cloak. It's a very drastic 2 tone from what I see in the pictures and could use some more smoothing out.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Don't know how I manage to make such a mess painting capes. Despite extra layers and glazes and a lot of tinkering on this one, I still ended up with that.

One day I'll work out where I'm going wrong.

I've always found that if you go in over the transitional line between the darkest shadow and where the mid tone meet, with a very very thin glaze of the mid tone, you can blend that area better. The same can be done with the mid tone and highlight. This way if you used 3 colors, you get 5 shades and nice blends pretty easily. Just take a little time as those glazes to transition can be numerous depending on the differences between the shadow/mid and mid/highlight

Yeah, I don't think I made my glaze thin enough, all I kept doing was moving the transition line up and down!

I'll have to have a good practice on the next cape I do.

My next project is a small Kroot force. I don't play Warhammer 40K, but these guys will be a great band of aliens for Star wars. Here is the test figure that I painted earlier. Now up are four Kroot hounds. They have been base-coated Nurgling Green and washed with Reikland Fleshshade. Now to give that some time to dry.

Presenting my Beastman Champion and true child of Atmos (In my own fantasy setting I base some of my Games Workshop stuff in, Beastman are a race of former humans who were changed by worshipping an ancient, goat-headed god called Atmos. Occasionally, an actual goat-headed Beastman will be born amongst them and will be considered Atmos's offspring, they then get all the best food and stuff and grow up to be one of the leaders or shamans of the various tribes.) Who is from the Warhammer: Underworlds range by Games Workshop.

I'm super pleased with how this guy turned out, but I really need to buckle down and actually finish one of these Underworlds sets.

Presenting The Bride of Nurgle, the leader of the Nurgle warband in the game Warhammer:- Underworlds by Games Workshop.

I don't usually post my Underworlds stuff here, but I felt this one deserved it.
Annoyingly, I did a really good job painting her face but you can't see most of it once her fringe is attached.

Presenting the Ogre Tyrant by Games Workshop, he is very heavily armed.

This one took a while, it's very much one of those minis where the more you work on it, the more details you find.
I am very pleased with how he turned out though.
