I guess I should think about painting something for this. Time will be tight (I have classes 2 nights a week until the 2nd week of December), but I'm trying to fill the hours at home with things to take my mind off losing my buddy...

 

And after the den reorg, a couple of larger scale minis ended up over on the painting desk...

This has probably been asked before on previous years but is DDS 1 a single figure or a diorama? There are scenic elements to the base but it's all part of the same mini and came in the box

I've seen a boxed diorama entered into that category at Reapercon. It was dinged a few points for being boxed (basically zeroes out the creative element), but otherwise did ok (Silver).

 

Not sure the criteria is even that strict for these.

Yup.

I think I will enter into the single figure.  it seems to fit better.  the piece is an integrated whole and my modifications were to the figure not the dioramic element.

Hopefully I'll be able to appease my painting muse and finish Rauthuros in time to enter the contest.  Got tired of seeing it assembled yet unprimed...

Unsure I'll be able to finish, but I'm making my usual slow progress towards a thing. First was a plethora of pinnings and now I'm *gasp* working on terrain. Even if I don't finish by the deadline, it's been a learning experience already. I want to get a little further with the terrain stuff before posting my next update, I literally just bought the material and spent 5 minutes with it between chores over the weekend...

But prizes are in Dollars..

 

Is there a possibility to also have EURO prizes for overseas winners?

 

Why do I ask?

 

If in EUROS we could max out an order in the store to get free shipping.

We will be taxed, that way the free shipping compensates for the Taxes.

 

If an overseas winner  uses a Dollar voucher, he can't get free shipping for ROW.

That way he either pays both shipping and taxes.

Or he has to make a small order, in which case a large part of the voucher goes into shipping.

 

I was wondering if this was a possibility.

More and more busts are showing up.

I'm not opposed to that, but I'd like someone to take over for next year if possible.  

 

Kit sends the codes directly to the winners, so I guess one way would be to ask him if thats a possibility.  I imagine if it were the same equivalent value it would be fine?

Yes, that's a large number of entries I dropped this evening. I've been kind of laying low and painting a lot of large models, especially in the latter half of this year. I think my strategy is to try to lock in the random drawing prize...
