Shieldwolf Miniatures War 2.5 (relaunch)

Recommended Posts

I just got mine here in Australia....very nice.  Though a little disappointed that they didn't come in boxes, but thanks to Balgin over in the KS comments I could work out I had all the sprues.

I am missing the Dragon Rider I have ordered, but have emailed them and am pretty confident of getting that all sorted.  Now to wait til the next KS.

Looks like once DHL gets the delivery estimate wrong, they just say "Screw it!" and never generate another. Mine has arrived in town... I'm expecting delivery tomorrow... but DHL still has no estimates.

Speaking of... just got a text message from DHL. "Hello, Valued Customer! [...] Would you like us to deliver your packages without a signature? Please reply Yes or No"

Once mine cleared Greek customs, it was through pretty fast. Greece to Italy to Germany to Cincinatti to Pittsburgh. Delivered today, hooray! Wasn't expecting it until tomorrow.

The Shieldmaidens are great and all, but I'm most excited about the yaks. I know, I know... (seriously, everything turned out pretty darn well. I'm very happy with them.)

I used Wargames Factory Samurai Arms and Wargames factory amazon spears... Stuff I had in my bits box... I did do a hand swap with one... and it was not bad... but in the end the samurai arms were perfect size. and armored up the look.

Incidentally. The wavy hair aside, I like all the heads included. They really have character. The hooded heads are actually my least favorite. You get 2 per command sprue so 6 per box... I think I am gonna make a unit of rangers with hoods. with 7 boxes (at 3 command sprues per box) that's 42 hooded heads...

And core weapon options that are included, I like the axes better than the swords.

      A huge 2 for 1 KS!
(You get BOTH Humans and Halflings in one project! )
Bloody Peasants! by Midlam Miniatures — Kickstarter
"Oh no!  It's an armed agrarian uprising!"
Toiling in the fields for their feudal overlords, the peasants are equally quick to turn their tools to defending their lands from monstrous invaders or, when pressed to the limit, revolting and overturning cruel and greedy landowners.
      Bloody Peasants!
A selection of human and halfling farmers in 28mm scale miniatures for all of your fantasy games.
You can choose from humans, halflings or both!
      The Humans
A familiar sight in the villages surrounding Midlam.
      The Halflings
A smaller folk, doing the same jobs as the longshanks.
      It's a Midlam project, so you know what that means;
Maybe a stretch goal, very possibly an early fulfillment, and absolutely no nonsense.

I'm backing this because the kobolds look more like Scottish terriers!
$100 level has 40+ miniatures and FREE USA shipping!
RBJ Game Company has created 18 KS projects, mostly miniatures. Let me know your experience with them if you backed before.

Become a villain in this retro-inspired board game. Draft terrain tiles, recruit monsters, build your map, and become the Overlord!
I'm a fan of Boss Monster, so I backed this too. Already funded and delivery projected for October of this year.

I backed his last project (dice towers), and found them well worth what ended up being a long wait to get them. It seemed only right to share, 'cause he makes REALLY PRETTY THINGS. Go look.
