Following on the heels (or simply stepping on) the Dark Hold Goblins are the Psycho Faerie Folk.

Oh the mono-scale heart.. restricted to a single Dimension of Despair.

Surrounded by colorful creature in hallucinogenic forms, they are denied Jacob's coat.

Its no wonder that they spread their frightened visage with such obvious glee.

That amazing sunflower as his color slips away !

The little pixie turning cold as stone... Sigh.

I can here them whisper.."As I am today, So shall you Be"..!!

 

Love them all Malefactus...

Magnificent Work as always, and I love the contrast..

and I kinda got into some symbolism there !

Thanks for the kind & thoughtful reply, Jay...I'm glad you had a chance to go philosophical. The flowers have gotten more colorful since the post...fuchsia over red violet, AND I'm plodding along with the leaves. This is actually a pretty enjoyable piece to work on.

You pieces are so imaginative, that I love flowing along with the mood I pick up in them.

Then when you change the mini's, the mood changes, and I can come up with even zanier story !

Doing the blending on the leaves & flowers takes a little time, but it is easy & enjoyable work. 

SO, my friend, since you like the color, I took some progress photos for you.

 

 

 

 

...coming along...slowly. This is an experimental color combo for all the Flower Folk you see in the background.

The colors are transfantastic, but the contrast and the texture is pure wonder !

You got that right amount of depth, balance, and clash.

Really, its astonishing.  The lower leaves with the green, then yellow, ant to top it off with

that really bright electric yellow highlight, and the brush stroke textures !  Love how the paint cracks and flakes

in places... like the leaf structure isn't able to contain it !

The personality of the flowers are wonderful. That purple is stunning, as is the shadows, and highlights.

I can't wait to see what you do next.

Thanks, George...glad you like her. The combination of the BIG shears, the deranged smile, & the bangs said Flower Killer to moi. She might clip the regular flowers too, but she wouldn't get as good a reaction.

Zombie Flowers could be cool. If nothing else that raise the creepy factor to another level....thanks for the suggestion.
